Q: How much money can you save by using solar panels?
The amount of money you can save by using solar panels depends on various factors such as the size of your solar system, your energy usage, location, and the cost of electricity in your area. On average, homeowners can save anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars annually. It's recommended to consult with a solar professional to get a personalized estimate based on your specific circumstances.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on refugee camps?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on refugee camps. In fact, they have been successfully implemented in many refugee camps around the world. Solar panels provide a sustainable and reliable source of electricity, which is crucial for powering lighting, charging mobile phones, running medical equipment, and other essential needs. Additionally, solar energy helps reduce the dependence on fossil fuels, lowers costs, and improves living conditions for refugees.
Q: we are doing a fundraiser to have students pledge to make donations for a solar panel instalation on one of the school buildings. I am looking for a slogan for the campain.
Solar Energy Is School! It's School To Go Solar!
Q: I have a solar panel, charge regulator, inverter....is that all I need to tie it into my grid? Do I just plug the solar panel into the charge regulator into the inverter into any 0v outlet? I feel like im missing something....
No don't do that unless you want a fire or worse electricution . DO NOT PLUG INTO THE WALL . st solar panel 2nd regulator 3rd 2 volt battery 4th inverter . The inverter should have 0 volt terminals that look like the plug on the wall . You would plug your TV or light into that the inverter . You would need an electrition to hook into your home electrical system . They will hook up a device made to tie into the grid or your meter that will make it run backwards but it takes alot of solar panels too do that . Please do not plug into wall .
Q: Can solar panels be used in areas with high temperatures?
Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high temperatures. In fact, solar panels are designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, including high heat. While excessive heat may slightly reduce their efficiency, modern solar panels are equipped with cooling mechanisms that help maintain their performance even in hot climates.
Q: This is for my science project and i cannot figure it outWe assumed that blue light shining on a solar panel would give off the higher volt reading because it has the shortest wavelength and the highest energy, but it was actually the lowest. Why does this happen? Im very confused And cant find the answer anywhere.... ,thank you!!
Surely the highest volt reading will result from the wave with the largest amplitude, wavelength irrespective? You'd need to know the amplitude of the wave AFTER leaving the colour filter, since different chemicals and pigments in the filter would naturally affect the resulting wave in different ways.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a pergola or gazebo?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a pergola or gazebo. Both structures provide an ideal location for solar panel installation, as they offer unobstructed exposure to sunlight. Additionally, integrating solar panels into a pergola or gazebo can enhance their functionality by providing shade, while generating renewable energy at the same time.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a pole or ground mount?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on both poles and ground mounts. Pole mounts are often used when there is limited space on the ground or when panels need to be elevated for better sunlight exposure. Ground mounts, on the other hand, are ideal for larger installations or when the ground is more suitable for anchoring. Both options offer flexibility in terms of placement and can effectively harness solar energy.
Q: I have a 2V .5W solar panel and I want to get a battery that can be charged by the solar panel that can then be used to power a 2V .5W fan. Ideally I want all the components to be connected and able to run without interaction. I have very little knowledge in regards to this field which is why I have come to yahoo answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
batteries are rated via the CCA, chilly cranking Amps the better the CCa the longer it is going to very last, don,t imagine you want a cost Controller as your continuously drawing juice from it, the picture voltaic panel will keep the bat at its top , then even as the daylight is down , the pump will draw off the bat,
Q: So I reckon it's time to install some of these bad boys. it's come to point where electricity providers are charging such extortionate amounts that I can definitely see these reaping huge rewards before long. (Okay I might be exaggerating a little - they are pretty costly themselves). The problem is I've read around that they're only fitted to south facing houses? Why so? Why can't they be installed on the rear side of the roof - the side facing the garden? My house is facing north, so the front door leads north. Could I have solar panels installed on the back? (That's basically my question, with a bit of a rant too lol).Cheers.
You want the panels facing south because that is where they would get the most sunlight throughout the day. If your front door is facing north, then the back of your house would be facing south, right? So put them up in the back where they are facing south...haha wtf..
