Q:I hadn't had any back up or otherwise
please be more specific with machinery crash... are you talking about problems with your computer?? or something else?? if it is a computer... there are ways to get data back... 1) data recovery if the hard drive has been formatted 2) slave the hard drive to another computer, if not formatted and move the data to an external hard drive...
Q:i'm trying to record my band's demos onto a cassette recorder/mixer, and then get them onto cds. is there a piece of machinery that can transfer an audio tape onto a cd?
I don't know if you want to do this but your question reminds me of my Mp3x blastr I have it plays everthing and convert songs from tape to cd.It's cost 50 bucks for the mp3x blaster at a office depot or any place that sales pc equipment. It comes wit a disk and a hookup for cd player, tape player, etc.Even thought it cost 5o bucks it will be the best 50 bucks you spent.
Q:Is technology (phones, tv, internet, machinery) destroying human relationships?I personally believe it is in little ways. 1.) Advertisements are continually cheapening human interaction. Example: the man who is talking about finding his queen and we think he is talking about a woman but no he is talking about a sofa. 2.) Face to face interaction has become less and less important in society. We are all on our phones, watching TV or on our computers sending text messages or on facebook. 3.) Everywhere you look people are not looking at the person they are talking to, they are too busy with gadgets. I mean who here has been annoyed becuase the person they were talking to was texting?4. We now have more ways than ever to communicate but we are farther apart than we have ever been.So basically my question is, Do you think technology is good or bad for humans?
Yes actually I believe it is also. I went from calling my mother like 6 times a day to sending her and my little sister IM's on Yahoo Messenger, and hitting up their myspace's. We do it more and more since she moved from where I am in Massachusetts to Georgia. Also, I Google everything. A Dictionary, Thesaurus, Phone Book, even Bible I can look up all the information online.
Q:On July 23 of the current year, Serena Mining Co. pays $4,612,500 for land estimated to contain 5,125,000 tons of recoverable ore. It installs machinery costing $512,500 that has a 10-year life and no salvage value and is capable of mining the ore deposit in eight years. The machinery is paid for on July 25, seven days before mining operations begin. The company removes and sells 490,000 tons of ore during its first five months of operations ending on December 31. Depreciation of the machinery is in proportion to the mine's depletion as the machinery will be abandoned after the ore is mined.how to calculate the first five months depreciation on machinery??
While the machinery has a ten year life, it will only be used for eight years and then become abandoned. So we first do $512,500 - $0 and then divide by 8 years to get $64,062.50. That's how much depriciation the machinery accumulates per year. Since we're looking for the first five months of accumulated depreciation, we take $64,062.50 and multiply it by (5/12) months. That comes out to $26,692.71.
Q:Frank has bought some expensive machinery from XYZ co. limited. The machinery does not work properly and Frank has complained several times to XYZ co. but they've ignored his complaints. Frank has decided to sue XYZ co. Explain to him which courts the case could go to and what appeal routes are available if he loses the case at first instance
Better Business might not have much pull with the company. How did Frank pay for the item(s)? If it was on a credit card, ask him to call the card issuer and see what can be done to contest or stop the payment. Did XYZ give him a warranty? If so what were the conditions on the warranty? Also, consider that the machinery was damaged in transport. If he handled the transporting himself, your friend is out of luck. If the XYZ Co. choose the delivery service, then they need to work out the problem with the delivery service. What kind of machinery are we talking about? Vehicles might fall under your local Lemon Laws. Has Frank tried taking the machinery to a local repair shop? If for no other reason than to figure out how much the repairs would be to make the item(s) work properly. This would be the figure he has the best chance of being awarded.
Q:thanks
And the list with machines: okorder
Q:then who will pick it?
then we will bring back slavery for all the illegal immigrants... i said ILLEGAL immigrants...
Q:Are there any risks in taking LSD while operating heavy machinery?
not that I know of, try it and report later.
Q:I got my wisdom teeth (all 4) cut out this weekend and am still on loritabs every 4-6 hours for pain. Today is supposed to be the last day of my two weeks notice ( I am switching jobs next week ) But I'm on pain pills and shouldn't be opperating factory machinery which is what I do. Would it be bad for me to call in on my last day? I still have to go in Wednesday to get my paycheck but right now I can't even drive much less operate complictaed machinery. If I called in would that make me look bad? My employer knows I got my wisdom teeth cut out this weekend.
Since your employer knows you had the surgery, you can bring it a note if it really matters. What I would do, if possible, is try to find a replacement so that they won't be left shorthanded, that way the employer knows you at least tried. If you were a good employee the whole time you worked there, then not coming on the last day (for a legitimate and verifiable reason) shouldn't be an issue.
Q:Do you know how to operate any machinery?
I worked in a machine factory for two years before I went into the Army
