Q: I had my car sitting in the driveway for 3 months, the battery had died completely; but when I tried to start it all I heard was clicking sounds. When I had the engine replaced the mechanic said I had to pay extra to buy a tranny because the engine locked up? Im wondering how when it worked fine last time I drove it..Can someone please explain to me what it means when a engine locks up.? What causes it .? What happens to the engine?: There are not a lot of tube fittings used in the USA with metric dimensions. Tube fittings are usually designed to MATCH the the tubing pressure rating class. My suggestion is to check out Parker Hannifin's websites as they are a major manufacturer for a full line of Brass and Hydraulic fittings and one of the largest manufactures of compression tube fittings and instrumentation fittings.

If the hole in the strike plate that is in the door jamb is filled to the top, level, the latch wont engage.The handle will still feel locked, but a push on the door will open it. You could cut some hard cardboard sheets the size of the hole, use whit glue and stack them up until the hole is filled. Then lock the lock and shut the door. If you filled the hole all the way the door should just push open. Also you can try duct tape to cover the hole, but it would be more noticeable.

The supply house had gotten a batch that was from Mexico they replaced the bad stuff and I had to eat the labor but I kept my customer happy . The China pipe is worse about the galv. coating being to thin or of ?? quality (it too doesn't last very long) I have seen the welded seams not welded . The cost of copper has gotten ridiculess and so I now use Aqua PEX or Dura PEX for most of my water lines. I suspect this plumber may have lost a customer over this as you are asking .
