Q: What do you do to keep your floors clean? Both for carpets and hardwood floors.
By taking off your shoes at the door, and making sure you go through the house every day with the vacum, to make sure the dirt is picked up, because that is the culprit. And for dusting find a fuzzy pair of booties to use for dusting the floor works great clean as you walk.
Q: I am planning on installing a new floor in the kitchen of a very old house. The current floor is not level. On one end, its about an inch higher than the other end. Is it possible to level the entire floor with the self leveling concrete mix or some other form of self leveling liquid?
Isn't there an advantage to having a leaning floor? at least if you spill something it will tend to go in one direction and is easier to clean up.? Just a thought.
Q: New to buy the second - hand housing, just to buy when the semi - muscle Dan Gui Gui Gui ten helium Jiang years, other decoration are very good, only the tiles are too old there are two cracks, and now want to re - covered with composite wood flooring! Ask you, in the old terraces installed on the floor of the composite wood flooring method? What tools are needed, I want to own equipment! More
What I can do for you
Q: 3dmax how to change the direction of the floor grain
1. Open the scene and render it in the perspective. 2. Find the floor map, right mouse button rotated 90 degrees clockwise. 3. To return to the scene, the floor texture orientation has changed and rendered in the perspective for validation.
Q: We are fixing up a small house and need some ideas that aren't too costly for concrete floors. They have been sealed before and painted a medium gray color, but we were thinking hardware floors or another alternative. Any ideas of something we can do ourselves and still look professional?
A very light grind of the concrete will remove old coatings and show a little aggregate. You can then coat with a polyurethane to give the polished concrete look. Also you could use concrete dyes and then put the polyurethnae over the top. You can do the polyurethane and dye yourself very easily and is also quite cheap. Have a look at the website below for further ideas.
Q: 800x800 floor tile thickness is how much? If the living room shop 800x800 floor tiles, bedroom shop 1.2 thick composite floor, the bedroom also need to leveling it?
The general (80 * 80) brick thickness of about 10mm, paste a good about a total of about 4cm ~ 6mm or so lang guangnao stubborn long anchor (depending on the venue because of the level of Well), and the composite floor only 1.2mm if you And the living room in a plane, then there must be looking for slightly! So that the effect of loading out!
Q: We are redoing a house and all the flooring had to be ripped up because of animal smells& stains(this is a fore closer we bought hopefully to retire in)anyway dining rm has beautiful med dk hardwood on it, and it is open floor plan, thinking of cork for kitchen, any body used cork? how does it wear? difficulty in putting down? And how about linoleum, I have heard it has come along way since the 60s. Thanks for your time.
Cork is hypoallergenic as has a natural substance in it that makes it resistant to mold and insects. Cork is a sustainable environmentally friendly product and has a great appearance.I would phone a reputable flooring store and make sure you have someone that has experience install it. It is a personal preference of to what you choose, my friend loves her linoleum as she finds it so easy to care for. It looks like tile and I have seen people sitting at her table reach down and touch it. They have very realistic patterns. Hope this helps.
Q: I use a clean and wax product and the floor does not get very clean. What can I use that is safe to clean the floor before I add the wax product?
I'll assume this is a vinyl floor. You didn't say what it was. Those clean and wax products aren't very good. I don't know why anyone thinks you can wax and clean at the same time. What really happens is that dirt gets waxed right onto the floor and stays there until the wax wears off or gets stripped off. It never wears off in parts people don't walk on. It just keeps building up. You can clean the floor with any number of products. Ammonia, white vinegar, you can use all-purpose cleaners like Mr Clean, you can use Pine-Sol, Murphy's Oil Soap, etc etc. I like Dr Bronner's Sal Suds. I haven't used one of those wax and clean things for about 35 years, so I don't know if they say what to clean the floor with first. Just remember that with floor cleaning products, less is more, especially with products that produce suds. Too much will leave a residue on the floor. If you want a really clean floor, vacuum it first, use a mop to get off what the vacuum cleaner didn't, let it dry, and then use a wax.
Q: Have small bathroom that needs tile flooring replaced. Don't want large tiles because they show cracks when damaged and they are very obvious. Any genuinely serious recommendations as far as replacing the floor tiles with new floor tiles. Linoleum is not an option.
First off, in order to replace the tile floor that's there now, you're going to have to take the old tiles up off the floor. That can be a very tough job if they were laid properly. It will entail the use of a good hammer and a very good prybar, plus quite a bit of elbow grease. If the old floor comes up without seriously damaging the old subfloor, then you can clean up and start anew. That seldom ever happens. If you damage the subfloor while removing the old tiles, you'll have to replace the subfloor before you can lay new tiles. If you have to go that route, make sure you secure the floor to the floor joists, to make sure it's not going to flex when walked on. That's what makes tiles and grout crack. You'll need to chose the tiles you like, and the person who helps you should be able to suggest the proper grout for the tiles. Follow their advice and the job should come along nicely.
Q: I slip when i do roundhouse, front, jump kicks on WET FLOOR.Solutions to this??
Don't kick on wet floors.
