- If I were you, I would buy the sort of vanity that juts out from the wall and attaches to it, and then is supported by either a pillar in the center, or two poles on the front corners. These will permit necessary air circulation while still doing the job.

- Be careful, yes you can do it but a bathroom gets a lot of moisture and if it isn't done perfectly it will look bad real soon.Think about re laminating it yourself there are tons of colors to chose from and it might cost less then painting it.
