Q: A mobile phone or cell phone
In 1945
Q: Forgive me for maybe being a little stupid but i assume that a sim free unlocked mobile phone is just a plain old handset that will accept any sim card?I currently have a phone with Tesco mobile on a PAYG tariff - i assume that if i bought a sim free unlocked phone, i could take my sim card from my current phone and put it into the new one and it would work just fine? ie. i'd keep my current number and i'd stay on my PAYG tariff?
Not any phone company. Different carriers use different systems. Like cdma and gsm.Sprint, Virizon, and alltell are services that use cdma, which is basically an internal built sim. Some carriers offer a flash service that enables you to use their carrier, however once flashed your phone will only be able to be with that carrier. ATT once activating your phone will block it from being used anywhere else.Hope this helps.
Q: I am trying my luck for the one last time if T-Mobile right for me. the phone i have is motorala razr which really terrible- poor reception, dropped calls etc. any suggestion just a simple tmobile phone with good reception , that is all in needed
Mobile Phone With Best Reception
Q: ahoyweird one for ya.I've had a few problems with people harrassing me, they are violent types and although they don't know where I am, I heard someone say they could 'track my mobile' because they do know my mobile number (yeah im about to get a new mobile but still). Looking on google I see plenty of sites that advertise this abiltity.is it possible? I thought only the police etc could do it.Do they only need my mobile number to track? or do they need to know the sim number as wellthey don't know my simcheers
in theory it is possible, there is a famous case of a general who ran away from being killed, used his mobile phone and was triangulated, a plane was sent and he was killed. but no. A normal civillian cannot do this, the advertising sites are a load of bull crap, and usually you need to download an app to the phone in question to track it (Which I have done to all my phones to keep track if they go missing) my other thing i have to say is.go to the police of its that bad! (And before people start arguing with me, ive done this in a uni project with a friend who got permition to do this with the mobile company, was for research with his own phone though)
Q: HiI have lost my mobile phone. My phone was Samsung Galaxy Ace ST 5830.I heard this model has a speacial feature which let you track your mobile .but I dont know how to use this feature.I reported the incident to the police.they asked my IMEI NO and invoice. so the police said they will use IMEI NO to find it but I also would like to use the track program on samsung if there is.
there are several ways to track a lost or stolen smartphone. you can plan ahead and install an app such as my lookout to locate your device via gps, or register you device with asurion. however in your case this isnt very helpful. but all hope is not lost, as long as your phone has a charge, you can remotely install an app called plan b from lookout mobile security for free, from a laptop/pc/tablet.etc and once remotely installed you can then receive several email alerts stating closer and closer coordinates of your device. i have tested it on my phone, it was accurate within 3 meters, very impressive. i would like to add that i know most android users have a gmail account linked with their phones, and if your phone is not locked, the person with your phone may be able to access the emails being sent to the phone and realize hey they are tracking this, and pull the battery out. also this app allows you to send a text with the word locate to your phone and it will email you the gps coordinates. again, if the phone is not locked, that could be bad. i know there are several similar apps that can be remotely installed after the fact on the market, i just know plan b is a really good one. but hey chances of you finding it are pretty good considering the police and the technology available for you device. good luck and let us know in the additional comments if you found it.
Q: can I use Skype to call mobile phone?
yes you can, next to contact where it says call phones. dial the phone number and it will call. it wont work if you are using the free version.
Q: do you have a mobile phone?who uses mobile phone the most in your family?
I would have to say I probably do (20 y/o male) but my sister is either a close second or beats me (18 y/o). I use mine frequently, especially texting, but also placing calls, taking pictures and videos, and playing games. My sister regularly takes calls on our home phone, but most of my friends don't even know that number. Both of my parents have cell phones, my dad hardly ever uses his.
Q: How does smartphone adjust time?
If the special time zone need to manually set, click the red box "time", you can set their own.
Q: How to track a cell phone number, anyone help please
The mobile phone works on transmitted signals from a tower. The closest tower to the phone will transmit to/from that phone. As you travel it changes towers. To trace a phone one would need to use 3 towers around the in question phone forming a triangle. Where the 3 signals cross each other is the location of the phone. The police or phone company may be able to do this for you.
Q: Have you ever been conned into taking on a contract , with the promise of an upgrade after 6 months to find out then it wasn`t true , and you are stuck with a rubbish phone for at least another 9 months ?.I have - thanks to them lovely people at a certain mobile phone store where their ad is similar to that programme back in the eighties 321.With the dim bloke who keeps shouting YEAH !!
What mobile company is this? FIrst and foremost, you needed to have read your contract carefully before you signed. In fine print, it would have stated some conditions or requirements for the promotion. If you look over your contract and still don't find it in the terms and conditions, go back to the phone company store and tell them about thier promotional ad. They refuse to budge, call customer service and be firm. There has to be some catch that you missed because flat out lying is false advertisment, something that can land them into a big lawsuit. Check carefully your contract papers before calling them up.
