- well you should have asked this when you were there. The difference is the UV rays. The regular beds are mostly like the sun. They can burn you but help keep you from burring outside in the sun. The other beds are a different UV and they will not burn you and will bronze you more. However, these will also give you the orange look if used all the time. I use a mixture of the both. I go twice in a regular and once in the other a week but I will drop down to once a week in the regular and once a month in the other as soon as I get a good color I want to maintain. Happy Tanning!
