Im getting my 4 yr old a bed (currently in a toddler bed)...i found a captain's bed i really like, but it is $349. It is well made, and sturdy, but i was really only planning on spending maybe 300 total, including mattresses. Now with this bed, plus bunky board, and mattress i will be at over 500. Is it a good investment? Did you notice them being sturdier than just a headboard/footboard? Thumbs up or down? Thanks!
- I've never paid that much for a captain's bed. My daughter has a captain's bed now and totaled, the mattress, bedframe with 4 drawers and bedboard the entire set up cost only $250.00 You might want to check Ikea...

- I will be getting a double size, put it on the floor at about 1 year- 18months and let them sleep on that until I feel they are ready to put it up on a frame. A toddler bed is just a waste of money. It is about the same size as a crib mattress, so really you could just use the mattress from the crib on the floor as easily. I think it's too small though, and I won't be getting a crib anyway, we are cosleeping.

- No bed is the most comfortable for everybody. To find the one that's right for you, go to a good bed shop (not a bargain one) and lie down on lots of them. Some will be too firm, some will be too soft and hopefully one will be just right. The more you spend usually the more comfortable it is and the longer it will last. Never buy a bed without lying on it for at least several minutes, with a good pillow. A good bed shop will expect you to do this. General advice is to change your bed every ten years but we had a really good pocket sprung one that lasted for 30!!! (And no it didn't smell, and yes it was still clean)

- bronzer tanning beds deff. work better then regular i do tanning and i went for 10 to 15 minutes each time and i still barely have any color except for my stomach. my sister goes to a bronzer bed for 20 mins each time and she def. got a lil color the first time
