Q: i have two holez i the bottom of my ear and now i wanna get something done to the top i want eather a scaffold or a cartlige and a tragus what do you guyz think: i have my tragus done and it didnt hurt at all, so i would reccomend doing the cartilage/tragus, but make sure, just like with any piercing, to keep it clean.

Q: Hiya, I just had a scaffold piercing on the 14th of this month.. and everything was fine but in the last couple of days my ear has become a bit swollen and has broke out into spots. The actual piercing is fine, I found some dry blood on the end of the piercing but I dismissed that as nothing. You may be having a reaction to the jewelry. Doctors are not very knowledgeable about piercings. In fact, most that I've met are quite biased against them. Swelling with a scaffold piercing is normal. Sometimes it takes a few days to take effect. Go to your piercer and let them take a look at it first. If you're wearing surgical steel you may need titanium. Also make sure you're only using sea salt soaks twice a day to keep it clean. No antiseptic cleaners, witch hazel, alcohol, peroxide, antibiotic ointment, most soaps, etc.

Like can I use labrets, tragus, helix or plain stud with rounded backs or the same gauge? I've tried looking it up, but I can't seem to find anything.: Tragus and helix are types of piercings, not jewelry. If something is marketed as a tragus stud, helix stud, etc. it's low quality and should be avoided. High quality body jewelry is very versatile, there are a few basic styles of jewelry that are essentially used for all piercings (straight barbell, curved barbell, circular barbell, labret, rings). You will more or less be limited to straight barbells for industrial piercings. Of course there are an endless number of different ends you can choose from. Keep in mind after only 5 months your industrial is likely still healing, they can take upwards of a year to fully heal. If healing is going well and you really want to have the jewelry changed I'd suggest having it done by a reputable professional piercer.

Q: I'm 15 atm, I want either an industrial piercing now or a scaffold piercing that I can connect later. I may be getting a scaffold piercing instead, seeing as school regulations here probably won't allow a full industrial.
