- Since you mentioned that it's fresh lime juice, you imply that at some point, you had fresh limes. Your best bet would be/would have been to keep the limes intact, and juice them as needed. Since you're apparently dealing with juice: if you store it in a non-reactive container (glass, ceramic or plastic), with a tight lid or seal, it should keep in the fridge for a few months, easily. It's highly acidic, and that inhibits bacterial growth. To store it even longer, just freeze it. A standard ice cube tray holds about one tablespoon per section. Just freeze the lime juice (overnight would be perfect), then put the frozen lime juice cubes into zip-top bags, and store them in the freezer...they'll last for a year or two. Any time you need lime juice for anything, you already know the exact measurement of each cube.

- Q: Does anyone know a good lemonade recipe using limes not lemons for a gallon?
- Coconut Shrimp with Lime Dressing Peanut or vegetable oil, for deep-frying 2 egg whites 1 tablespoon cornstarch Kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper 12 (U-15) jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, and flattened 2 cups flaked coconut Lime dressing, recipe follows 2 bunches watercress leaves, for garnish In a large heavy bottom saucepan, pour enough oil to fill the pan about a third of the way. Heat over medium heat until a deep-fryer thermometer inserted in the oil reaches 350 degrees F. (If you do not have a thermometer a cube of bread will brown in about 3 minutes.) In a bowl whisk together the egg whites, cornstarch, salt, and pepper, to taste. Dip the shrimp into the egg mixture, and then press the shrimp into the coconut flakes, coating well on both sides. Fry the shrimp in batches until coconut is golden, about 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Serve immediately. Dress shrimp with lime dressing and garnish with watercress leaves. Lime Dressing: 1 cup sour cream 1 lime, zested and juiced 1 small shallot, finely diced 2 tablespoons chopped parsley 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon finely chopped scotch bonnet pepper Kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper Combine ingredients in a small bowl, and chill until ready to serve. nfd?
- Q: Does anyone have a good recipe for key lime pie filling? Thanks. ;]
- Chocolate brown is a strong color so I'd paint them white. You don't want the chocolate brown to out do the mint/lime green accents and the white serves as a neutralizer betweent the two.
- Q: we just moved into our new house and noticed this tree and asked around but people thought it was a Key-Lime Tree and today we were picking off the deads ones and noticed that it looked more like lemon tree and now are really confused.
- Soda-lime glass is fine for storing most chemicals. (The major exceptions are strong solutions of hydroxides (like NaOH and KOH) and hydrofluoric acid -- but you can't store HF in borosilicate glass either.) You are correct about borosilicate glass and thermal shock, so borosilicate glass is used mostly for lab equipment that's intended to be heated.
- Q: My Grandma, sister and i Got some Key Lime Pie from a Store. But we need to know if you mus FREEZE it or just put it in the refrigorator. So Please tell me!
- Lime, never a lemon unless you cannot find lime anywhere near. Then again if you've had a couple of tequila's by that time...you probably wont care if its a lemon.
