- Q: How does the access control system control automatic doors?
- 12V --- 12V Signal line to signal line Power signal one by one correspondence
- Q: The garage has no windows or doors
- Did you try Open sesame? Kidding. I assume you don't have the remote, and there's no keypad on the outside wall? Or some older ones had just a key slot? No? I've heard that some locksmiths or garage door pros have a universal transmitter. Which is like a master key for AGD transmitters. Whether it's true or not, I don't know. I've never needed one. But the theory is sound. I can't think of any other way, without seeing it, other than cutting through the door carefully and repairing it. If you can reach the release cord somehow, that would work too. Good luck.
- Q: I have disconnected the chain and am working only with the motor itself at this point. The motor will operate in only one direction, but will turn by hand in the other without binding. I also ruled out sensors and up/down force adjustments. (Actually it is so old that it did not require the optional sensors.) This appears to be an issue with whatever mechanism starts the motor in the opposite direction. It does appear to have any mechanical issues that prevent this so I am thinking some sort of solenoid or something. I also burnished the little relay contacts to no avail. Sears/Craftsman Model 139.53513 Anybody have any thoughts? ( besides buy a new one ; )
- I answered this in part yesterday. Viewed from above, closing should be CW and opening should be CCW of the sprocket. If you are good at visualization if you start the motor going down and short #'s 1 and 2 again the sprocket should stop CW rotation and start CCW rotation back up . If you short 3's 1 and 2 and the motor is pulling the door up shorting 1 and 2 should stop the motor. The next short of 1 and 2 should send the door down (CW rotation). Please let me know what happened. I get very little feedback.
- Q: Automatic garage door closer?Hi guys, I would really appreciate the most sincere oppinion about my new product. Do you think it's usefull? Do you like the presentation? What do you think about the price? What would you add to the website? Please visit OKorder .
- So what happens when I open the garage door and want to work in the garage with the door open? Is it going to keep closing on me? There is no FAQ on your site, also, the Buy Now link takes me to another page that looks the same with two Buy Now links and so I had a hard time finding the price.. which is expensive if there is no information about how things work, what are the safety features, different options, various settings, etc.. I left the garage door open unintentionally a few times. I'm not sure I'd buy anything extra that would create other issues for me..
- Q: I was the first time to install automatic doors, today will automatically search the door motor on the ground wiring test machine, the motor has been turning non-stop, I do not know what reason, ask you big God mention, be grateful.
- The limit switch is not tuned, or not installed
- Q: I have an old Sears automatic garage door opener (about 20 year old) and wish to remove it to run just manually. Is this hard to do. I got a second bay that is manual and setup appears exact except lift by hand. It looks like I just take off the automatic and all the parts with it and then the springs will work fine by lifting by hand? The automatic has started to cease up and is a pain. Any info appreciated.
- Every automatic garage door has a quick-release rope attached to the track up above. This is in case the door opener is broken or the power goes out, you can still operate the door manually. So, look up above on the track that operates the door. There should be a rope with a little handle hanging down. Pull this downward (while the door is closed), and it should release the door from the track. Now, it should be a manual door! This is the easy way, you don't have to disconnect anything else from here, it just bypasses the automatic system. Make sure the door is closed if you disconnect the track, because if there is a problem with the tension springs, the door could come crashing closed! PS, if there is no rope, look at the metal bracket that attaches to the inside top of the garage door, and the track itself. Maybe the rope is gone or someone removed it. You should still be able to disconnect the door from the automatic track in some way (on the middle track, not the sides). Also, most of these door units just plug into a regular outlet somewhere in the garage. After you convert it to a manual door, just unplug the main unit or diconnect the power and you don't really have to do anything else.
- Q: 12-volt access control and 24-volt Panasonic automatic door machine wiring
- 12 volt access to the current you first find, and then borrow one of the open signal points to control the 24V Panasonic automatic door machine system. This may need to be modified according to the situation to install the circuit. Plus a 12V miniature relay can be used. I have transformed a similar system.
- Q: What is the general appearance of the revolving door?
- metallic material. In all kinds of engineering materials, the most widely used metal materials. Iron and steel materials are widely used, in addition to because they have good mechanical properties, but also because the price is relatively cheap and easy to obtain, to meet a variety of performance and use requirements. As the alloy steel has excellent performance, it is often used in the manufacture of important parts. Stainless steel is used in automatic revolving door engineering. In non-ferrous metals, aluminum, copper and its alloys are the most widely used. Among them, the light weight, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy in the automatic revolving door project in the most widely used.
- Q: right now i have manual windows and locks and want to put in automatics any 1 know how i can accomplish this.
- The doors, bolt holes, and mounting is the same between the base model manual windows and locks and the upper models automatic windows and automatic locks. Basically, you have to get the motors, panels, and components and do a straight swap. If you're not into tearing apart your doors, then you can still swap out for the upper model's doors as they bolt right on. You will still have to run the wiring though.
- Q: I have a 2 car steal roll up door with a Genie 1024. It's by far the slowest opener I've seen. On my 3rd door I have an old American Door co opener and it's at least twice as fast. The springs on the door are well balanced. I tested them by disconnecting the opener and ensuring I could open the door by hand with just two fingers. Is there some sort of speed adjustment? BTW it's been slow since the day it was installed.
- Well, the Genie openers are designed to open at 7 per second, so a standard door (7') will open in a little more than ten seconds. The 1024 has a soft-start feature which opens the door more slowly at first, then speeds up to normal. It could be that yours is stuck in the soft mode. If that's the problem, I can't tell you how to fix it, but a serviceman could (if no one here can explain it). If it's a problem with the motor, you'll have to resort to the guarantee (they offer a lifetime warranty on the motor and gear assembly), and lots of time communicating with them. Good Luck
