- Q: Behr has special paint, can this be done with other paint?
- you do not need to have special paint unless you are wanting a certain look. If you are wanting it to look like it has almost a crackle look, using plastic sheeting would be an easy way. If you are just wanting to almost blend 2 colors, they make this 2 headed roller that comes with a certain paint tray that you would pour 2 different colors in and put them on the wall at the same time. It is a really nice look. You could also do this with a sponge and a regular roller but this would probably take you longer to do. But any type of idea like that, you wouldn't need a specific type of paint unless you're going for a certain look.
- Q: the upper plastic sheet is bendable and the lower sheet is rigid. I need some type of glue that I could brush on easily to stick them together.. Since I may need alot of that glue, are there cheaper options for me?
- Not knowing what type of plastic it is, the only two glues that may work are; Superglue; if it doesn't work, then try; PVC plumbers glue. Both can be purchased at a Big Box home Improvement Store for cheapest prices, or your local hardware store. Vapors from the PVC glue are flammable and toxic, so use in a well ventilated area only. Work safe, be safe. Good Luck with the project.

- I okorder / among others. I'd guess any sort of medical supply company would carry these. There are also special mattresses you can buy that have a coating of plastic on top of them.
- Q: Are acrylic plastic sheets flexible and cuttable?
- I worked with 1/8 Plexiglas, and I cut it with my scroll saw. I needed to use ultra-fine saw teeth to do the job. Two problems happened. First, when the saw blade was set at too high a speed, it melted the Plexiglas. This also happened if I did not move the Plexiglas fast enough. I had to have the top vibration clamp fairly close to the Plexiglas to stop it from jumping up. Before I realized this was necessary, I split 2 pieces. My project was see through drawer fronts for merchandise display. I had to predrill the holes for the screws to mount the fronts into the wood sides. I used masking tape on the area that was to be drilled to protect the Plexiglas surface. I still had breakage. Next time I do a project of this type, I will use thicker acrylic.

- Go to a hardware store and buy a Painters plastic drop sheet. They are about 3 x 3 meters so quite big but only cost a few pesos. Painters use them when painting the inside of a house to cover furniture and just throw them away when the job is done. You can buy one and cut it up to any size you want , cheap and a good size. You will gets a lot more sheets doing that than buying them separately. It's just an idea for you but hope that may help you out.
