Q: The first panel is located in New England, the second is placed in the Sahara desert, the third is on the Earth side of the moon, and the last is on the far side of the moon. Which panel would absorb the most sunlight over a year's time and why ? All the panels are place in optimal places where they would get the most light available.
probly the sahara desert since it there's not much rain there which would equal few clouds. you'd get plenty of direct sunlight. the moon is constantly orbiting earth and in different possisions with the sun which would equal less sun exposure.
Q: Can solar panels be used in areas with high levels of dust or sandstorms?
Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high levels of dust or sandstorms. However, frequent and heavy exposure to dust or sand can reduce their efficiency over time. Regular cleaning and maintenance are necessary to ensure optimal performance in such areas. Additionally, advanced solar panel designs and coatings are being developed to mitigate the impact of dust and sand accumulation, making them more suitable for use in these challenging environments.
Q: Can solar panels be used for powering Wi-Fi networks?
Yes, solar panels can be used to power Wi-Fi networks. Solar panels generate electricity from sunlight, which can be used to power various devices, including Wi-Fi routers. This allows for the establishment of Wi-Fi networks in remote or off-grid locations where traditional power sources are either unavailable or unreliable. Additionally, solar-powered Wi-Fi networks are environmentally friendly and sustainable, as they utilize renewable energy sources.
Q: Hi there. I live in Colorado, and we obviously get a ton of snow there. I im looking into a solar power system for my home, and I am wondering if the snow will accumulate on the panels, or if, because of the energy passing through, it will melt on contact? By the way we get about 20' of snow each year, and it comes on often. I will also be putting them on my roof. Thanks for your help.
If you have an electrical backup you could install something to melt the show where the solar panels are installed. You might try installing them near a fireplace chimney if you have one. My thinking tells me if you have a clear raised bubble or pyramid over the panels it might help.
Q: im aware i dont fully understand. but with what i do. if P = iv, and current changes with voltage, whats the point of changing either. if in any cicumstance, you end up with the same wattage, how does changing either effect a solar setup. (2v panel vs 24v)thanks in advance. explain in laymans if you can.
The choice of solar panel voltage comes down more to what the panels will be connected to. You're right that power can remain the same at the different voltages. Higher input (panel) voltages are sometimes used in inverter systems to reduce the effect of voltage draw-down. 2v panels (about 20v open circuit) work well for charging 2v batteries, connected in parallel, through a charge controller. For use of a grid-tie inverter, higher input voltages are sometimes used to reduce the effects of draw-down. You want to select and wire (parallel vs. series) your panels based on the input voltage requirement of the load, whatever it may be.
Q: so i told my dad to buy solar panels and he wants to see how much money u can save we pay $00 and i dont want quot; You don't need solar panelshow much would my fmaily save?
I asked my dad to buy solar panels few years ago and after discovering the prices, i got WHY DO YOU NEED SOLAR PANELS Now i earn myself and hence bought these panels. Hope You don't get that. So do a thing. Go to nearby government office and ask for details for rebate on buying solar equipment and go accordingly. Do some extra work and earn money. In this way you will be light on your dad's pocket and even help in saving the planet.
Q: If this was sold back to the grids what would be the profit i would stand to make per day on energy received in these panels? How did you come up with this answer?
Considering capital outlays, such a system might never recover its initial investment. That's why we don't see such small photovoltaic plants popping up around the country - the economic case isn't there. One of the problems is that you would have to sell your electricity wholesale, at a ridiculously low price like 2 cents / kWh. If you were displacing electricity that you would otherwise use, then the financial case is different. Retail electricity could be 20 cents / kWh, 0 times as much, and you could get your money back over time, and start to make a profit. I've assumed you're in the US, with no special feed-in tarrifs. If you're in a country with a premium rate for solar-generated electricity, the business case could be very different.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a tennis court or sports complex?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a tennis court or sports complex. The large open spaces and flat rooftops typically found in these areas make them suitable for solar panel installation. This can help generate clean and renewable energy while also reducing the electricity costs of the facility.
Q: How do solar panels affect the energy independence of a building?
Solar panels can greatly enhance the energy independence of a building by converting sunlight into electricity. By generating their own clean and renewable energy, buildings with solar panels can reduce or even eliminate their dependence on traditional energy sources like fossil fuels or the grid. This not only reduces the carbon footprint but also provides a sustainable and reliable source of power, ultimately granting greater energy independence to the building.
Q: Can solar panels generate electricity during a blackout?
No, solar panels cannot generate electricity during a blackout because they are connected to the grid and rely on it to deliver power.
