Q: i recently got started with oil paint, and some of my tubes are leaking quite a bit. i seal the cap well, and there are no holes or anything in the tubes. i read that putting the tubes under extreme heat or sunlight can cause them to leak, but i do neither of these things.how do you prevent/solve this?: Leaking okorder /... Both of these prevent the dreaded twist and crack that can open up a hole where paint can both leak and be exposed to air. Also treat the caps gently. Make certain to routinely clean off the paint that biulds up around the threads. Wipe this off as opposed to allowing it to dry forcing you to remove it with harsher methods like scraping or using a solvent. Be conscious of the way the cap feels when tightening it on the threads. Sense whether it has derailed or whether the threads are clogged. Paint can build up on the tube threads and/or the threads inside the cap. These caps are fragile and often strip or crack. If a cap gets stuck and the tube body begins to twist while attempting to unscrew the cap run the cap end under hot water until it loosens up. Avoid twisting the tube body. It will tear apart. It is a good idea to save the good caps of old used tubes when they are ready to be trashed. They are not all interchangeable but they might be and it is worth having some around. Replacement caps are not sold by themselves but if you catch a bad cap on a new tube you may have a replacement sent to you by the manufacturer if purchased directly. You could try asking for a complete tube of paint replacement from retailers. I have done both successfully.

Q: i wanna breed them i have a female in a 15 qt tub and im worried she will chew through it after seeing some question on here about that being answered that they will chew through it but when i look on youtube i see people breeding them in plastic tubes and stuff so whats the deal i figured if they do why would these breeders use them can somebody plz hlp or have any suggestions: Mice generally won't chew through plastic unless they have nothing else to chew. Just provide a (safe) piece of wood, or something similar, and they'll be fine! Please don't breed them unless you: -know that the mouse is the correct age -know that the mouse doesn't have any health issues -have GOOD homes for the 20+ babies, ie. only sell them IF the buyers are good with pets and they know how to look after mice -are prepared for the high possibility that the mum will die, and that some (or possibly all) of the babies will die too -know exactly how to breed them (do LOADS of research first).

You might try that. Of course, if you're getting a build-up, it may mean your water is running high on calcium magnesium ions (i.e., it's 'hard'). In that case, water softeners may be your best best.
