There is no such thing as a megawatt per hour. Watts aren't a unit of energy, watts are a unit of power. Power is the rate at which energy is converted. Power is to energy as speed is to distance. Watt-hours or the famous kiloWatt-hour are units of energy. Also the Joule is the more scientific unit of energy.
Q: If a solar panel (using 36 3x6 solar cells) puts out 60 watts, how many panels would I need (for a house) if I use a max of 2300 kWh in a month? I checked my electric usage for the past 2 years and the kWh is usually lower but I wanted to use the most kWh used (2300) for my question. Thanks!

They're only worth it if: # - you are rich enough to afford them over the long term. Commercially installed solar panels will take you over 0 years to see any financial benefit. #2 - you get the parts and some instructions and get them built yourself. DIY or get a local electrician to put them together. If you don't fit into any of these 2 categories, then they're NOT worth it.

they still make them,i have them on my camper to charge the batteries, they are not cheap, however. you can get them at r.v. supply stores. in fact the ones they make now, are quite efficient, many people in the countryside use them for their homes, i dont know why the development for cars is so slow, though.
Q: i have a 2v 2a solar panel that i want to use to charge a 2v battery .Have found out that i need a charge controller so i don't over charge the battery.I have found a cheep one its 2v but 7a will it still work ?All-so im planing on running a 2v water pump off the battery with a timer,its for watering my garden.Will the timer have to be 2v as well ?any help on this would be greatly appreciated thanks .
The charger will accept whatever current is necessary from the solar panel up to 7A. It's not like the solar panel will force 2amps into the charger/battery -- the charger will control the current going to the battery. I question whether or not the 2V panel will actually charge the battery, though, because in order to charge a standard lead-acid 2V battery you need to have about 4.5 volts applied to the terminals. Perhaps the charger has a boost circuit -- I don't know without looking at it or knowing the brand/model number, etc. The timer must be 2VDC, but, if you only have a timer that is rated for 20VAC, you can buy a small inverter that will take 2V and supply the necessary 20VAC. An inverter rated for 20 to 50 Watts should be sufficient. These usually cost under US$25. .

Q: Hi,I am thinking about getting solar panels installed. # I like to cut my electric bill. #2 I like to eliminate my oil boiler and use some sort of electric boiler.I use about 5000-30000 KW per hour( winter-summer). My oil bill is around 600 month winter time. Over all i pay around 4000 a year. My electric bil now is around 2000-2500 year. Is this possible? I live in NY. I heard you can get up to $35000 rebate from LIPA( Electric company) and 2k from federal and 5k from State( is the state or federal every year?, how does that work). Any help is appreciated.
There is a variety of information available on the internet regarding solar panels. You didn't say if you were interested in installing a photo-voltaic system to generate electricity, or if you wanted a passive solar system. From what I've read, the method that would give you the greatest payback for your investment is the passive solar heater. I can't give you exact instructions on how to construct one of these units, but there are many websites with instructions. My older brother had one of these mounted on his old farmhouse. He said his furnace didn't run all day during the cold Wisconsin winters. The government rebates or tax credits are usually a one time deal. They may pay for part of your installation, but they won't cover the whole cost. The only thing I've heard of that will pay you every year is a wind generator tied into the electric grid, but thats another posting. I'm including a link to a site that will show you how to build a cheap solar heater that you can try yourself.

The solar panel powers the fan in the solar-powered ventilation system. The ventilation system helps to keep your car cool while parked out in the sun. If your car is cooler, then when you get into it after parking somewhere the AC won't have to work quite so hard to get you comfy when you start your car. Less AC use means less hybrid battery use (since the hybrid battery powers the AC), which means that your gasoline engine will run less (to recharge the hybrid battery), meaning better fuel economy for you.
Q: when building a solar panel should the diode be on the positive or negative sidelittle more detail i just built a solar panel and im running it to a grid tie converter should i put diodes in if i add another panel or are they only for battery systems?
I'm assuming you're talking about the blocking diode and not the bypass diodes. Positive side.
