- Q:I had my scaffold done on friday, and it's still very sore and swollen. My boyfriend's accidentally caught it a couple of times but not badly and i was wondering if the pain and swelling is normal and if there's anything i can do for it. I've been cleaning it with savlon and have been careful with it x

- Scaffolding basically means being the support (a scaffold is a support) in the child's learning. A preschooler can do a range of things. He or she will have mastered some things already and there will also be things that are beyond what he or she can do. When playing with the preschooler, you want to make sure that what's going on falls in that range (zone of proximal development). Don't give him or her something that's too easy or too hard to do, but play games that make them think a little and use what he or she already knows to take it a bit further. I hope I'm not confusing you more. In one sentence..scaffolding is supporting the child in learning something new based on what they already can do or know.
- Q:so yeah as it says above^should i just wait till it no longer hurts, or do you have to wait a certain amount of time...
- well it depends because some bars are thicker than others, if your changing to a bar as thick as the one you have now then i say about a month is good but if its the slightest bit thicker i suggest you wait maybe 2 months and in the mean time make sure your turning it and wiggling it so after the 2 months go by you can change it to a thicker bar without it hurting
- Q:i got my scaffold piercing 4 days ago and it still hurtsit usually doesn't hurt when nothing touches it, but then with the lightest touch of a finger or anything else, it hurts badly.i just cleaned it with h2Ocean and a q-tip and now it hurts really bad. :|should it not be hurting by now? or is this normal.? if its normal.. how long until it heals/stops hurting like a *****. hah
- industrial is one of the WORST and most painful piercings to get... believe me.. i didnt finish mine cuz it was so bad. it'll take a while, longer than a normal piercing but in time it will be fine.. it might still get sensitive once in a while too even after it heals , but it does take quite a long time to heal. just keep cleaning it and don't let it get infected.. - i got mine (industrial) almost 8 years ago and it cost me $42. it hurt, they do it with one needle and just go straight across your ear. my mom nearly cried when she saw it. it feels really hot and sore after you get it and you have to constantly turn the bar in your ear to prevent infection and a keloid scar. i had a keloid scar on my ear from it and when i started working i was asked to take it out. it smells funny sometimes but i loved having it. kinda miss it now. good luck! xo

But my ear doesn't have a bend like most people do.I got my first four piercings done by a professional. But felt I was much more comfortable having my brother(22) do it. - person above me obviously didnt read LOL. anyways as to your problem you might have to bend your ear a bit while you are piercing it but this mite cause the jewlry to pull forward, you could also go higher up, change the angles or you could do a vertical industrial which would look gud with ur other pericings
