2. What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container.

Q:My mothers house has 9 tiles on her bathroom floor and I understand they are made with asbestos. Some of the tiles are starting to lift and I am concerned about how to remove and dispose of them, any suggestions?: well, if you don't remodel then you are ok without a permit. Otherwise the legal thing to do is call an expert to removed them. I would be careful not to cause any airborne particles to breath and remove them yourself. Spray water on it, then dispose it in a trash bag. The each trash pick up, would throw out a little at time. The asbestos removers do that anyway.

Q:The 12 by 12 tiles were laid 7 years ago and nothing is different, but last October some of them over by the exterior wall of the house started tenting. There had been no more or less rain. What would make them do this?Here‘s some more info:-They started cracking in the part of the house that was added on.-The new foundation may not have been sealed.-My brother put them down and he tends to do a crappy job at best. He thinks they were cheap tiles.-I found traces of termites when I started pulling them up (seems unrelated since they‘re ceramic tiles, but one never knows...)Any advice on replacing them would be greatly appreciated!: When installing floor tiles you have to have the right surface under them. You would need either a self leveling cement surface applied or cement board installed first before the tile is installed. If this wasn't done first the floor below the tiles will absorb moisture and expand and contract from the different humidity levels causing the tiles to break loose.

Q:We laid tile in our Master bath about a month and a half ago. Now we have 2 tiles that are crackd. I would like to no what caused it. We have a slab foundation.: It depends on what you used as the adhesive. You may not have enough thinset/tile adhesive under the cracked tiles OR the slab floor was not leveled properly. You will have to remove those 2 tiles and scrape the adhesive off the floor and check for level. Once that is done you can re-apply thinset adhesive as that is the best for flooring applications, and re-set the tiles in the new thinset and tap them down a little bit so they are level with the tiles around them.

Q:The previous owner placed VCT tiles on beautiful hardwood floors. I want to remove them, without messing up the wood too bad, since I want to sand and wax the floors after I remove them.Is there a way to do this without ruining the floors?Can I rent a machine? Should I try to heat up the tiles? They are glued on very well, and its a large area. The machines I have seen so far, look like they are made to remove tiles that are placed on concrete. Q:I am ready to tile a kitchen island, it has the rough shape of HOME PLATE, though not pointy. What is the best way to cover those odds angles effectively? Should I butt two edge tiles together? Also, I am not fond of the 16th inch spacing in tiles, I prefer 1/4 in gaps...any issues for the top of counter. The sides will be 1/8th gap.AdamDeridder,La: Thousands of sq. ft. of tile. Certainly an Angle grinder with a diamond wheel can give you the cuts and angels that might work in as close as the rest of the perimeter tiles. A decent grit grind wheel can be used carefully to round off. In some measure your success will depend on the type of tile. Ceramic is as stable as Porcelain, but the glaze is millimeters thick only. I haven't spaced at 1/16th ever. It isn't enough space for grout to ahdhere well enough. 1/8th or 1/4 is standard, and sanded grout, polymer based. Steven Wolf

Q:I have a bathtub that the bottom row of tiles are getting loose on the top portion. A few have come out.The row above seems ok.Can the bottom row be resealed or replaced without interfering with the upper tiles?If so how?: If you want a temp fix go to store and buy PL construction adhesive in a caulking tube. Clean excess with paint thinner and re caulk joints . When your ready to spend the money, call on a licensed tile contractor. Leaks behind the tub can lead to big dollars down the road. The kitchen and baths are big ticket rooms to work on, but when it's done right you'll be happier and never pay until the job is 100% YOUR CASH IS YOUR LEVERAGE, but be fair.

Q:Can I leave them alone and simply go over them w/ mud and ceramic tile . I really don‘t want to open the hazmat can of worms by getting the tiles tested.The tiles look like that mutfti pattern common in office buildings and schools and secured w/ a mastic.Thanks: I was always under the impression that there was more hazard from the adhesive that was used to lay the tile in old buildings, as it was full of asbestos fiber. Seems like they referenced this on more than one Home Improvement show I've seen. Of course, it's been many years and I've slept since then.

Q:If so, what do you clean it with? I have one in my kitchen I hate it! I‘m always cleaning it and we don‘t even wear shoes in the house but yet it always looks like it has blackheads! I have used the magic eraser to get the marks off but it‘s a p.i.t.a. :): I do our tile the hard way with a big industrial cloth mop and common household cleaner and ours is in pretty good shape. The texture in the tiles will trap dirt in the crevasses a lot easier and that's why I use a heavy mop to get in there and clean.

Q:I only have a couple of tiles in my shower to grout. I bought some pre-mixed tile grout from Home Depot. It says on the back NOT FOR USE IN SHOWER OR UNDERWATER. I called home depot and they said it would work if I were to seal it. As many know sealer is very expensive and I‘m only doing a couple of tiles that will be exposed to water. Do I have to seal this? I understand there exist grout with sealer already inside.....: Sealer, sealer, sealer... It's like the magic solution for everything now. The most important thing about what you are doing is the adhesive for the tile. Make sure it can handle the water. And spread it thick... let the tile squeeze it out and wipe out the excess. You cannot have air bubbles under the tile. The steam will expand the air in that bubble (1,000 times it's cold volume) and pop the tiles. As for grouting between the joints: consider using caulk instead. You can specially order (at the hardware store) tinted and colored caulks. In a shower, there is no better solution. I bought a grout remover tool and took out the grout in my tile shower then installed a light sand colored caulk 15 years ago. I never sealed the glazed tile and it still looks good.
