Painting okorder / I will give you a web site that might be able to help you out a little Good luck with your project, hope it turns out well!!!
Q: Tiles 1 open 2 What does it mean ah?
Generally refers to cutting tiles such as the 800 * 800 cut into two 400 * 400.
Q: My marble counter top is made of tiles. We bought the house and the previous owners installed them. my problem is that the grouts between are chipped and stained. how can i repair them to look new again?
Tile stores sell a tool to remove old grout. Only a few dollars. You can remove and regrout, not a difficult job. You can buy stain proof grout that is pre-mixed. Follow instructions on the label. You will love the results.
Q: I recently bought a house, second-hand, would like to renovate, floor tiles do not know demolition is not demolished, would like to ask, it is best to have friends in Guangdong Foshan, the following questions, answer well, and real, The best information can refer to, must be given! My home on the 7th floor, stairs roof Demolition of tiles to find someone to split the floor? Has not been found to really remove the floor of the price, in the end package clean up is how much a square, I want the price of Foshan Do you want to tear down the house with a broken machine?
Package to the decoration together to do the matter, is it in Chengdu? Chengdu we can build
Q: I now want to match the tile and extend it into my living room and dining area. How would I go about finding the same tile?
Can you contact the company that laid the tile? Do you remember how you picked it out? Catalogue, Store? Even if you find the name, it might not be a perfect match after all this time. I do my own tiling and I always buy extra in case of repairs later. Storing them in the original box gives you the Manufacturer and style #. The tile contractor should have done this as he has no need for any extra tile left over.
Q: I'm decorating my bathroom with a soothing and relaxing water theme (sand and water colours - beige, white, earthy brown, pale blue, and pale green). I need a backsplash behind my sink and tiles in the shower area. Any ideas that would work with this theme?
For the shower, I'd go for beige tiles with earthy brown grout (even with pale blue and pale green accents if you really want to make it decorative). That way it fits nicely with your theme and even if the shower gets dirty, the colors would disguise it nicely. For the backsplash, personally, I'd stick with the same color tile so it's kind of unified, but there I wouldn't use brown grout, I think it might look to harsh, so probably go with a white or off-white. Any tile store can get you colors similar to those that you already are or plan on using.
Q: ok, i tiled my kitchen with the sticky tiles (not expensive ceramic ones or anything like that) then sealed it with a clear tube of sealant. it is about 3 or 4 days later, and the floor looks like crap. the sealer left behind a nasty tar trail or something. While the tile looks glossy and beautiful the places i sealed are dull and def noticable. How do I get rid of the excess???? I've tried scraping, it just don't work. help me!!!!
No one here can really help you without knowing the following: It depends upon exactly what material the tiles are made of that you installed yourself and what type of sealant that you used. Contact the place you bought the sticky tiles from, to start with. If that doesn't help you get the answer you need, contact the sealant company(info. should be on the tube, somewhere)
Q: I‘m trying to tile a map using swing (JPanel and JFrame) but don‘t know where to start. Ideally the map would end up looking like pokemon or 2D zelda games, where there is an invisible, underlying grid, and the person occupies one spot at a time. Does anyone know how to do this?I can get a sprite to move, but that‘s based on pixels, not on tiles. If you know how to do this, can you paste code and explain it?
That's the most efficient way to do it. You use math to calculate positions, so the tiles are virtual. Unless you really need to draw tiles with boundaries, don't show them (like the original Warcraft game). Perform all of your calculations like movement and clicks-to-tile conversions based on pixel location. This is far more efficient that trying to do it with lots of actual Java subpanels merged together. But, note that it's a lot of work and you have to carefully work out your calculations to make sure your clicks are aligned correctly. One mistake I made with a hex map once was I used doubles and I casted them to integers too early, and the slight different (by losing percentage) threw all my calculations off slightly. The trick is to create your background image tiles so that they blend seamlessly together on all sides. That will take a LOT of effort.
Q: I have several boxes of wall tile and I would like to use some on a floor. Is this okay? What is the difference?
Wall tiles are to soft for floors they break easily. Floor tiles are hardened. I'm a builder 30 years.
