Q: i just got it like 3 days ago and its no signs of infection and im just worried it might get that way. ive been reading online about people who got infections and people who had all this crap happen. what do i need to do to stop one from coming i mean i use contact solution and cotton swabs wipe it down with wet ones and clean it when i sweat and turn it twice a day.. im always careful about keeping it clean im a neat clean freak but is there anything else i can do to stop infection from coming: Keeping it cleanis the only thing you really can do. Insteas of contact solution you could use a non iodized sea salt soak (1/8 teaspoon of sea salt to 8 oz of warm water). But you are going to want to stop spinning it. Spinning it could rip your fistula and prolong the healing time of the piercing

Q: I got my scaffold piercing 6 days ago, with titanium, and it was fine until yesterday.I had a couple of nights out and might have knocked it a few times, but yesterday it was swollen, red, throbbing and very painful. There is no liquid coming from it. It seems to have got worse today.I have been following the aftercare advice and cleaning it several times a day with rock salt solution and (up until yesterday) savlon antiseptic spray. Is it just irritated or is it infected? How long should I wait before I go to the doctor? If it is infected, will I have to take it out or just take antibiotics?Thanks!: it sounds like it's just irritated, if it's infected it will be secreting puss. Have you tried to soak it in the rock salt solution? Soak two cotton balls and put one on each side on the piercing and keep it there for 10 minutes a day. And make sure the antiseptic spray has zero alcohol in it because that can irritate it and prolong healing. Try this for a few days and if it's not getting better then go see your doctor.

Q: Any advise on nerves? I have 11 piercings but I'm still terrified of needles! Any tips on keeping my cool?: I got my industrial two days ago and it was my first piercing besides the standard lobes and i heard it hurt the worst of all the ear piercings and u have 11? Lol if I could do it u can do it lol I was soooooo nervous and then it just happened and not gonna lie it hurt a lot lol but what I did to distract myself I just talked really loud about the pain lol I was like O MY GOD IT HURTS SO BAD lmao and now it's a lil sore but ull be happy with the results :D

Q: also apprx. what chapters is it in?: On the Scaffold Dimmesdale is really starting to go crazy. the guilt in his heart about loving hester is eating him up. he goes onto the scaffold thinking no one will see him. he is punishing himself. he yells out and thinks that it will be the end of his secrect but no one hears him. they just think he is the cry in the night. then reverend wilson comes along. but he doesnt see dimmesdale. then hester and pearl walk by they notice them. they come up on the scaffold. Pearl asked dimmesdale if he would stand with hester and her at noon the next day but of he says no that he will only stand with them on Judgement Day. then they see the scarlet letter in the sky and the town people thought that it was just an a for angel because the gov passed away. they next day wilson finds dimmesdale's glove on the scarrold but he thought that the devil put it there. i cant remember what chapter it is in but it is toward the middle good luck with the book i loved it

Q: I know people have different pain thresholds. But I was wondering if it was more painful than a lobe piercing? It will be done with a needle and are they aloud to freeze it? Or is it not needed?: Scaffold/Industrial piercings definately hurt more than a regular lobe piercings because it's in the cartilage area and its pierced at a larger gauge but the pain is bareable. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the worst pain) I would say an Industrial would be anywhere from a 4-6 depending on your pain threshold. Freezing it probably wouldn't be nessesssary. I got a 14g Industrial pierced on one ear and a 16g helix on the other both on the same day (the industrial was done first) and in my opinion the 16g helix hurt more. So it really depends on how well you tolerate pain
