- Q: As Doomsday quickly approaches, what is one thing you would like to do before &lights out&?
- This is not to be done permanantly, but when any of our council premises are having work done that may set off or contaminate detectors, we suggest using a surgical glove streched over the detector. This stops smoke or dirt entering and because it is a thin latex, would readily melt off in case of fire/heat and activate the alarm. (it is also a talking piece, as the glove fingers hang down like cows udders).Remember to remove the glove as soon as you can (and before you go to sleep)
- Q: Looking for ideas for a formal outdoor fire pit and patio. Years ago my husband and I built a 25‘ x 25‘ stone patio with a sunken firepit in the middle (back yard). We loved that thing. We‘ve now been in our new house for 8 years, and I want to build another one, approximately the same size - only thing different, is that we want the ‘pit‘ to be above ground this time.Would like ideas on types of stone, layout, seating, landscaping around the area etc. You guys are great. Thanks.

Aluminum foil.I have seen many people also using this technique but I just wanted to share how I do mine. I call it “The El Bokeh Wall”

What are the estimated cost for this damage?? btw I live in NJ.. Ask if any other information is needed (I do have pics but do not know how to put them up)

- Q: As a follow up to my questions about speeding, has anyone experience with dealing with an HOA and traffic control in a neighborhood? The reason I ask is the cops always try to play a ping pong game of responsibility for certain roads within our development. They thave told me to contact the HOA about speed bumps and such but the HOA has been much less than forthcoming with action on this and some members say it's not their responsibility! We all PAY for the HOA. There must be some trick to getting to the bottom of such problems in these kinds of private communities. We do not have a gate, but the speed limit signs within the development are not standard street signs but rather decorative non-standard signs created by the HOA as I've been told by the cops. As such, they claim they can't ticket on such roads. Maybe the only answer is to raise holy hell at the next three HOA meetings and call the HOA and the cops nonstop? :) I'm ready, but not looking forward to it.
- With a 3 yr old and 2 yr old twins I know what you mean by wanting something flexible. 5 children must be a very fun challenge! I also know what you mean by not wanting to sell or just push a product. I love what I do and it helped me get in shape, be healthier and really help others! My wife loves it too and is steadily building a good income. You do not need any special training. All you need is a commitment to your own fitness program and the desire to help others. I make money every week and I get Free customers directly from advertising that the company does. I know you have seen the ads for Power 90, P90X, Turbo Jam or Hip Hop abs, Slim in 6 etc. The cost is so small (under $40.00 to get your business Kit and then 14.95 per month for a website). I can help you get started and it is real simple. The business can build itself after just a little effort on your part. Anyone can do it. You just need to support people and stay consistent with your own fitness program. Let me know if you want help with this. I am so happy I found something like this and get very excited to share it with people. I get paid every week and still can't believe it! Have a Great Day! Keith
- Q: I bought a tall jar, loosk liek possibly a candy jar..inside is a pretty scene.. flowers, butterfly.. bee.. I bought it soi could use the thinsg inside but after bringing it home i realized it was sealed shut! with some kind of glue. I'm thinking i can get it hot and the glue will get soft and i can pull the top off.. assuming it's the kind of glue that will do that. it's not a very thick glass.. Will it explode if i bake it in the oven?
- There are two things you can do; depending on whether you have a vehicle near you: 1. If you are near a car, get into it. Get as close to the floor of the car as you can and cover yourself with whatever you can - preferably something made from wool as wool doesn't burn. The fire will pass over you quickly. It is a complete myth that a vehicle is dangerous because of the petrol tank - they are designed to withstand the heat of a fire and will NOT explode. Same with the tyres. You'll experience an intense heat for a few seconds, but it will pass. Once it's passed you can drive to safety. 2. If you are stuck away from your car or if the fire is between you and your vehicle, quickly find a creekbed or depression. Even a fallen log will doget down as low as you can - as close to the earth as possible. If you have time, clear any brush away from around you. Then cover yourself with whatever material you have to hand - once again, wool is the best. If you happen to have a woollen blanket you're set. Like if you're trapped in your car, the best thing to do is to cover your face, take a deep breath and wait for the few seconds it will take for the fire to pass over your body. You'll experience an intense few seconds, but you'll be safe. NEVER try to outrun the fire. you won't be able to. It's simple. The fire WILL catch you and cook you! I hope this helps - I'm assuming that your question is serious!!! Love and Light, Jarrah
