Calcium Silicon Powder
1. Description:
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.
Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:
(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.
(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.
(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

- Q:In general they seem similar, although I know that the nature of the lyrics differs between them, but what exactly is the difference between Metal Core and Death Metal?
- For me Lamb of God and Chimaira have a close call.
- Q:Which heavy metal magazine should i get a subscription for?i have heard of revolver and metal hammer, but i just don't know.thanks if u guys can help me
- Thrash: Municipal Waste MDM: My dying Bride Power Metal: Lamb Of God Symphonic Metal: Satyricon Viking Metal: Turisas Not sure if I got those genres right but those are great bands in the 21st century!
- Q:When a metal oxide react with water the following occurs :Na2O(s) + H2O(l) -gt; 2NaOH(aq)The oxygen generally ends up as the hydroxide ion, separate from the metal. When a non metal reacts with water the following occurs :CO2(g) + H2O(l) -gt; H2CO3(aq)The oxygen ends up as part of the nonmetal species.a) Give another example from a non metal oxide to support this generalization.b) What connection is there betweem this contrasting behavior of metal and non metal oxides and ionization energies?Thank your for the help

- Q:im a big fan of viking metal like amon amarth and stuff, and also of pirate metal like scuurvy and ale storm, is there any diferant genres like this?

- Q:Can you name some bands that are nu metal?
- Metals are not usually referred to as corrosive. Metals are corroded by air, water or other materials. In the sense of corrodability, I think the activity series of metals would be what you may be looking for. Metals at the top are most susceptible to corrosion while those at the bottom are the least. Cesium is near the top and reacts rapidly with air or moisture. Gold is near the bottom and is highly resistant to strong oxidizing agents like nitric acid.
- Q:what genre do you like..?i like power metal, n the band is Stratovarius, Angra, Primal Fear etc.
- I don't know the process but be sure that if it can be done without platinised electrodes then thats the method that would have been used. You dont need high conductivity but you probably need the catalytic properties and chemical inertness of a platininum surface.Just from the electrolysis point of view graphite(pencil lead)might be worth studying.and it'scheap and there!
- Q:Which genre do you prefer?BQ1 - Favorite death metal band? Narrow it down to 3-4 bands if you have to.BQ2 - Favorite thrash metal band? Narrow it down if you need to..BQ 3 - Favorite Death metal album and vocalist?BQ 4 - Favorite thrash metal album/vocalist?
- There are a number of metals used for communications. They tend to be used in different places depending on the application. I would guess that the most commonly used metal is copper for wiring, but you'll also find lead and tin used for solder, gold for contacts and connectors. Once you get inside the actual electronics, you'll find semiconductors like germanium, gallium and arsenic as well as conductors including copper and aluminium. The source below also has tables for resistance for various metals in wire form.
- Q:lose electrons and form ions?.....when does a metal stop losing ions?
- From your list of Old - only metallica! From Nu-metal list - all groups! =)
- Q:Beside Metal: a headbanger's journey
- Alkali metals are reactive because of their ionization energies. Ionization energy is the energy required to remove one electron from the atom. Alkali metals have only one valence electron, and if you'll recall all atoms want to be noble gases, i.e. they want full valence shells. Since alkali metals have this one electron in their valence shell, they'll readily give away their one electron than attempt to pull in seven electrons. Since alkali metals have such low ionization energies, and nature likes to use the least amount of energy possible for reactions, alkali metals tend to give up or share these electrons very, very easily. Hence, sodium explodes in water. :)
