Description
Ferro Silicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferrum and silicon. Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, the ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.
Application
1. Ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.
2. Ferrosilicon also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.
3. It can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy production and chemical industry.

- Q: Hey all,Just got Metal Gear Solid The Lecagy Collection for PS3. Disc one has one game on it: MGS4. Disc 2 is supposed to have all the other MG games, including the original. When I start it up however, it only gives me the option of MGS2, 3, and Guns Of The Patriots. Any idea how to access the original Metal Gear game, plus the other titles listed on the back cover? Thanks!
- Let me point out some things that are wrong here. Alternative metal is not fake metal. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Faith No More all play alternative metal, and all of them are awesome. I assume by gaycore you meant metalcore? That's a viable form of metal. Screamo isn't metal and doesn't try to be. Hardcore punk is obviously not metal, because it is punk. Deathcore is a viable form of metal as well. Pop rock isn't metal, it's a poppier form of rock. It doesn't try to be metal. Nu metal is borderline in many cases. New metal bands can be just as good as the old ones. Basically everything that you've listed is wrong. All That Remains, Caliban, and Veil of Maya are all metal bands to me. The others are more hard rock, or punk. I bet you're trolling, but just in case, I typed this up for you.

- Mayan sounds ok, they're basically chasing Fleshgod Apocalypse's coattails though. Beyond Creation, not sure if they're new but they're great for prog death that doesn't sound like awful deathcore (like most new prog metal does these days)

- Of those genres, the only one I'm really familiar with is doom metal, the defining characteristic of which is that you play slow. The first four Black Sabbath albums, I would call archetypical doom metal. St. Vitus and Cathedral are two examples of classic doom metal bands, although I believe Cathedral expanded their musical vocabulary over the years. Black metal, I like, but don't listen to a lot. I know there's a lot of blast beats.

- Metal has influenced modern rock. In a bad way. Some jerks (Metallica) thought they would become more popular and get more money if they toned down their music to create a hard hitting but accessible form of music. The only thing that makes metal so sophisticated is its tempo, heaviness and guitarwork. If you tone down metal, you lose all that makes metal good. Metallica, and other modern rock bands that caught on kept making metal more softer until they were left with a disgracefully shitty and toned down form of rock called modern rock. This rock didnt have all the interesting scales and rhythms of the blues and therefore nothing special. It has no more meaning than the pop music that surrounded it.

- Q: A friend of mine got me interested in checking out the Metal Gear video game series. I know that the PlayStation games start out with the first Metal Gear Solid game, and before that, there were two Metal Gear games for the NES. Unfortunately, I don't have an NES system, but I am really interested in checking the games out. So, my question is, is it really necessary to play the NES Metal Gear games in order to start on Metal Gear Solid? Does playing Metal Gear give you any understanding of the series needed for playing the first Metal Gear Solid game?
- The primary reason for coating one metal with another is corrosion resistance. You might also do it for decoration, or to provide a wear or bearing surface, or to make a good electrical contact.
