Then you go into a shop or use an ATM and pay that amount upfront, before you ring anyone. You now have credit of 5, 10, whatever, until you use it up by making calls or sending texts. This would load all the necessary settings onto the phone's flash memory to make work. The newer Boost Mobile phones actually use SIM cards, making the activation process easier. All the setting are stored on the chip of the SIM rather than the phone's hardware, similar to GSM phones.

- All T-Mobile phones are ridiculously slow and lag, not to be negative lol just honest. There isn't one phone I would recommend on the T-Mobile network as a very displeased T-Mobile costumer who has gone through MANY phones. I would recommend a Samsung Galaxy s3 on Sprint, or an iPhone 4s on Verizon as your best options.

- Dont go to the High streets, you are better off going to the small independant shops. they have the software to get it sorted for you and the longest they will take is 24 hours at a cost of 5 - 10 quid
