Q: I have an old mattress, an antique but in good shape. I have a foam topper on the top. Lately, I have been sleeping in another bed in the house (which is a waterbed) but last night did not do to outside noise (I am a severe insomniac). I was sleeping VERY well in this other bed but last night I woke up all night after sleeping maybe 10 minutes at a time. I have always thought my bed was comfortable but am wondering now if my insomnia could be attributed to my bed? Are the memory foam (non Tempur Pedic brand) good? I have seen one for my size bed under 400.00. What could be my problem? I wake all night.: I slept on foam for years...my bed was in a loft so stayed warm and toasty. I moved to another house and had my bed on the floor, was way cold so I bought a new bed, box spring and frame to get me off the floor...I was amazed at how much more comfortable I was and how much better I slept. I don't know about the memory foam you asked about...when I bought my bed I went to every store in town that offers bed sets, spent hours laying on different beds in the stores, found a knowledgeable salesman to ask questions and have been very very happy with my bed for the last 7 years.

Q: I want to buy a round bed, preferably pink. Also, the part where the mattress goes needs to fit a square mattress not a round one.: When purchasing a round bed there are many issues. I had friends that had round beds and they are difficult. They are difficult to sleep on and to find sheets, covers and all bedding for. They need to be in the centre of the room, leaving room for nothing else... In short- they are expensive to have made,maintain and to sleep on are uncomfortable( your feet or head hangs off at some point. I suggest you get the rounded headboard or suspend something round over your queen/ king sized bed...this will get you out of future frustration. If you want a round bed- get a water bed....that's the easiest solution. They are a whole other issue too. Good Luck- an interior designer who cares .

Q: Are tanning beds really that bad for you?: Can't say yes or no. I went to tanning bed for years - now 15 yrs later - I found out I have basel melanoma cancer. Just had the melanoma removed. (I have a 18 stitches from my ankle to my calf). Tanning bed could of caused it. Be safe and healthy - don't go. Use alternative tanning methods. Q: I just found out that the guy downstairs found 5 bed bugs in his bed!: Do you and the guy live in the same house? Or even if not, you had better protect yourself before bed bugs get you. That won't be too long. If you have no indications that bed bugs are in your house, get some Bed Bug Powder online, and spread it over the mattress (under the sheets) and also on the floor (around the bed frame). That way you can have a barrier between you and bugs if they smell you. The powder I recommend you is very reasonable price yet works great. It is natural powder so it is safe to you once it is settled. I had a bed bug infestation long time ago, and since I saw bed bugs in my room, I had to wash everything with hot water and put steam heat everywhere so that live bed bugs would die.... but keeping the Bed Bug Powder around the bed definitely got rid of bed bugs. But in your case, you have NOT seen actual bed bugs in your house, only you should do is to puff the bed bug powder on where you sleep. It is easy to get bedbugs, but is a lot harder to get rid of them once you get the infestation. Be prepared.

Q: I was watching Netflix on my computer around 2:30 AM, and i saw one, from what it appeared, black oval like bug that has a larger bottom half than top. I didn't get a good look because i was afraid and killed it. 5 minutes later I saw an exact same bug. I have had no itching problems that I can think of except a bump on my face, but other than that nothing. I really want to know what it might be before jumping to conclusion.Extra Information: They were located close to the center of my bed. I live in TN. I sometimes do have food on my bed but its off in usually 2-4 days. I also don't have sheets just 2 comforters. Q: okay first of all, what are these things? their called slatted bed bases, what are they for? whats their purpose? and i don't understand are they supposed to bend the mattress or something?: I have an IKEA bed frame and used to have a mattress...the mattress from IKEA was terrible, i ended up with this huge dig in the middle and gave it to the Salvation Army, any mattress will fit, but you cannot use a box spring. As far as the slats, my bed frame ( a queen) has a metal brace down the middle and a metal rim that runs all the way around. I use one roll of slats on each side of the brace and throw the mattress on top. The slats basically hold the mattress. have you been to an IKEA store? You can touch, play, and jump on the beds there and you'll see. But DO NOT buy an IKEA mattress....worst purchase I;ve ever made...but i love everything else from IKEA!

Q: Or do i have to buy another one for a toddle bed?: This is the bed we got my son and it fits the crib mattress. Its a good price and great quality but you might need 2 people to put it together.
