Q: Really want to get a captains bed for our 2 1/2 year old boy. Twin size. And a captains bed is the kinds that have drawers under the bed. Is it safe to have him in a bed w/o rails he's in a toddler bed right now. He's tall so I would make sure to get one that he can get in and out of with ease: Go for it, however I would get a guard rail to put up until you can be sure he won't roll out of bed and fall on the floor and get hurt since I know those bed's tend to be a bit high. Also get a stool that was it is easy for him to get in. My cousin has a bed like that and he has a stool to get in and out. Not sure if he had a guard rail since he got it when he was 4.

Would I be better off only getting a crate or just getting a old blanket for her?: My dogs love their beds. I have a tiny MinPin who sleeps in a Woolrich bowl bed that I got at Target on sale for $3. I got a great orthopedic bed at Ross for $20 that my AmStaff loved, until I rescued a Boxer and she ate it. They should have a crate AND a bed. The crate in your bedroom either with a bed in it or a soft blanket, so they can sleep with you, and the bed in the living room so they are not all over you. Trust me on this. Your whole house will stay cleaner, and they won't decide it is their house and you just borrow it.

(More likely Petco?): You would most likely have more luck finding it at your local feed and seed store.However hay really is not that good for bedding as it is not very absorbent. You will have to change the cage every 4 days or so. All guinea pigs chew on their bedding it is just part of being a guinea pig.I truly do not think they actually ingest that much of it. I also have found that if i was careful not to let them run out of the timothy hay they did not have the tendency to chew on the bedding. They just have an innate need to chew so if they have hay they will chew on that and satisfy that need for the most part. With guinea pigs the more you can reproduce their natural habitat the heather and happier they will be. Hope this helps, enjoy your guinea pig

Q: I keep reading online that pets cannot carry bed bugs, however in our home that doesnt seem the case.I have ONLY spotted bed bugs on my dog and on her bed and couch. I have been trying to battle this pesky insect for a bit now, but haven't ever thought of the dog being the problem. She is a boxer, so the bugs are easy to spot on her and I can tell she has been itching recently.I now wash my sheets on a daily basis and replaced my mattress with the scare. Q: I want to purchase a bed rail for our bed and want to find one big enough. Our bed is a queen!
