Q: a week ago, i got bites when i woke up, and i thought they were bed bugs or something. (prob like 7 in one area on my thigh). that week, my dog stayed at my house with me. then when he left my house, i washed my sheets and i didnt get any new bites. my dog is back with me this weekend, and just an hour ago, i caught a bug on my arm when i was on my bed which is kinda like an ant size, and it's black. i'm not sure if it's a bed bug or is it fleas from my dog. it is it either bed bugs or fleas, how many of them are there usually? and how do i get rid of them?: id say it is fleas. bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed and live on your mattress. As to how many fleas, they can multiply fast into thousands. Q: I am looking into a bunk bed that converts into two twin beds. I have a 18month old and a 4 year old. The 18month old climbs out of bother her crib and pack n- play. I would def put her on the bottom with a bed rail on the bed. But does it still seem to young? Space is a huge problem for us right now. I like the metal silver beds vs the wooden seem like they would hold more weight? Any suggestions FIRST TIME BUNK BED EXPERIENCE.: If you share a room, it won't matter if you have single beds or bunkbeds. Try it out and see how it goes. Tell your brothers it is temporary unless you decide you like the arrangement. Also, with a younger sister in your room, the boyfriend needs to be kept out of it.

Q: Personally I like a soft fluffy bed because I like to sink into it but firm beds help me sleep a lot better. I just like the feeling of being surrounded by fluff! lol: I've only been sleeping on those good for your back firm beds all my life so can not get any sleep on fluffy ones. (its like a bunk bed but with only the top bunk) Can they get me if I sleep high up in my loft bed???: Bed bugs can climb up walls and fall on to the bed from the ceiling or by climbing the walls. I'd suggset minimizing the number of ways they can get to the bed. For example, but double sided tape around each bed leg. You can also wear tight fitting clothes to bed and minimize exposed skin areas. Some bed bugs can also be repelled with a natural skin spray. See resource for details on all.

Q: I am pregnant and He will need to go to a toddler or twin bed at 20 months. I already have a twin bed and I could but rails for it. I could also buy a toddler bed but would like to save money if possible. I am not trying to be cheap!! What should I do? Is a twin bed going to be to high off the ground for him?: I would go for the toddler bed first so it will be a gradual change from his crib... better safe than sorry... and you can get them used cheap if money is tight (I understand) and brand new at walmart without the mattress for about 50 dollars. Now... When my step son was 3 years we put him in a twin without rails of any sort and he was fine and now has a full. (almost 4) I think if you invest in the toddler bed now... then you can use it for your next baby... and then I would say after age 3 they could sleep in a twin without any rails. Good Luck!

Q: should I get a dog crate or a dog bed for a golden to sleep in? why?: The reason why dogs are crated at night is to make sure they would not chew/eat anything they are not suppose to. Some dogs prefer to sleep in a crate than on a bed or in an large open space. If he does not chew or eat anything, then he should be fine out of crate and lay in bed with you. I personally would not let him wander the whole house, maybe limit his wandering to one room. It's really up to you.

Q: I was just curious --a lot of the earthquake safety guidelines say to duck and cover under sturdy tables, etc, but that if you're in bed, you should stay in bed unless there are large objects nearby that might fall on you. Why is it safer to stay IN bed as opposed to getting underneath the bed?: Under the bed depends on how strong your bed is (will it likely sustain weights falling on top of it or will it collapse ?) If the later is true, then hiding underneath your bed is indeed worse. In your bed is not that good neither, EVEN in the unlikely case when there are no obvious objects near you... Best place to be during an earthquake is a door frame
