Q: what is the difference between nu metal and metal.and even if u know the difference between hardcore and scremo.thx for every one that answers.
Crossover thrash is just a combo of hardcore and thrash metal, vocals often shouted, but never screamed Grindcore and goregrind they have death metal style vocals, so the genres suck big time Groove Metal is rougher, vocals growled and stuff, but often with other elements, such as distinctive drumming Slamming death metal wtf is that Crossover thrash is the only decent thing there anyway, some groove metal is ok though
Q: Are Metal Oxides (MgO, etc.) Acidic or alkali. And what bought metal hydroxides (KOH)
Metals are weak on holding their electrons so in reactions they tend to lose them to non metals and form ionic compounds in which they are positively charged and the non metal negatively charged. There is the reactivity series of metals and any metal higher than another will displace it from its compounds, reactivity decreases from top to bottom.
Q: Up until now, I feel that metal is really noisy. But I want to understand how metal heads appreciate metal. I want to try and appreciate more genres. Any suggestions? how do I appreciate metal?

Q: I've seen them be just labeled simply as heavy metal but they were considered by some to be an early black metal band and they even had an album titled Black Metal. Are they actually a black metal band or were they just very influential to black metal?
ok so substances can be classified into a structure. two of them are METALS and IONIC COMPOUNDS, metals are ions with delocalised electrons (e.g. copper), while ionic compounds are metal bonded with a non metal e.g. (copper chloride) comparison: -metals conduct electricity and heat, while ionic don't (this is due to the metals have free moving electrons which carry charge and heat, while ionic compounds do not, as the particles are fixed) -metals are malleable and ductile, while ionic are brittle (this is due to the metals have delocalised electrons, so you can move them and the electrons will just find another cation to attract to, while ionic compounds have a cation for every anion, so if you break this attraction, and move it... they will repel, thus making it brittle) -metals and ionic compounds both have high melting and boiling points due to the strong electrostatic and metallic bonds. -metals will be lustrous (due to delocalised electrons,) while ionic compounds will not be.
Q: I was pretty sure that metal is referring to music from heavy metal bands like AC/DC, KISS, Judas Priest, Metallica, maybe even Led Zeppelin. But now I'm hearing all of these lesser new bands calling their music metal and it is not at all the same.It irritates me, so I'm wondering if I have the wrong definition all together, or if this new music is just trying to latch on to older and better bands. Thanks
No, they're not. I see no resemblance between Venom and black metal. Their style of music was closer to thrash metal and heavy metal than anything else. They had a album titled 'Black Metal' but that doesn't really mean anything, it's just that they were popular around the time black metal was getting into the scene, so they would be considered some kind of pioneers of the black metal sub-genre. As Metal Injection article claims: ''Their album 'Black Metal' gave birth to a sub-genre unlike the world has ever known before. Although the music style of the LP remains more reminiscent of thrash, the lyrics and imagery associated with the record turned out to be the single biggest influence in spawning the early Norwegian Black Metal scene nearly 10 years later.'' Mayhem, Burzum, Immortal and Emperor cite Venom as true originators of the black metal message. Still, I don't think this is the reason to call them black metal because they sound nothing like it, and let's be honest; black metal is mostly characterized by its screamed, harsh vocals and raw guitar riffs. Venom doesn't have these aspects within their music. Some people consider them to be black metal which is just pathetic. Just because they influenced the sub-genre, it doesn't mean they belong to it. Musically and lyrically, they may have had some influence on black metal, but I still wouldn't consider them to be black metal. To add, the vocals are certainly NOT black metal. Cronos uses thrash type of vocals, not screamed and harsh black metal vocals. I think that bands like Bathory and Celtic Frost had a far greater influence on black metal than Venom ever did.
Q: when you have metal like this
True Death Metal Bands Deicide Massacre Suffocation Necrophagia Death Morbid Angel True Black Metal Bands Immortal Gorgoroth Carpathian Forest Marduk Mayhem Bathory True Thrash Metal Bands Kreator Sodom Megadeth Slayer Destruction Heathen True Power Metal Bands Helloween Manowar (u already said them) Angel Dust Hammerfall Stratovarius Blind Guardian
Q: Black Metal for me. The only death metal band I really enjoy (though TBH, I'm still exploring the genre) is Death. Black metal is more ambient and atmospheric, IMO.

Q: I was kind of confuzzed about the differences between these genres! You don't have to explain every single one of them but just the ones that you know! * 1 Alternative metal * 2 Avant-garde metal * 3 Black metal * 4 Christian metal * 5 Crust punk * 6 Death metal * 7 Doom metal * 8 Drone metal * 9 Extreme metal * 10 Folk metal * 11 Funk metal * 12 Glam metal * 13 Gothic metal * 14 Grindcore * 15 Groove metal * 16 Industrial metal * 17 Metalcore * 18 Melodic death metal * 19 Neo-classical metal * 20 Nintendocore * 21 Nu metal * 22 Post-metal * 23 Power metal * 24 Progressive metal * 25 Rap metal * 26 Sludge metal * 27 Southern Metal * 28 Speed metal * 29 Stoner metal * 30 Symphonic metal * 31 Technical death metal * 32 Thrash metal * 33 Traditional heavy metal * 34 Viking metal
I often think along these lines, but to my knowledge nobody has taken this seriously. Bon Jovi did the soundtrack for Young Guns II, and it had what was then considered a metal sound. Now a bunch of that stuff is just considered hard rock. So even if someone were to do it, they would run into a boundary dispute of what is metal and what is hard rock. Looking on what is now considered country music from the perspective of a child of the 80s, it looks like a lot of the current country is at least as heavy as the hard rock of the 80s.
