Q: i hate to wait a month just to get a new one. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First, get rid of the retractable lead - they are both dangerous and do not give you enough control. My dog carries a scar on one hind leg - his previous owner used a retractable, the dog took off suddenly at a dead run, the lead wrapped around one hind leg, and when the leash went tight, it left a deep friction burn and permanent scar. I also heard of a woman who had to get 6 stitches in her leg as a result of a similar accident only it was her leg that was involved and the leash cut rather than burned. When walking, he should stay beside you, never in front, and you decide when he can sniff, pee or poop. The leash should be kept short and should be loose most of the time - use a quick tug, preferably to the side, when you feel him starting to do something you don't want. Also, check out the Dog Whisperer to learn about controlling the dog - there are a lot of little things that people, with the best of intentions, do wrong. A few people don't like his methods but they do not hurt the dog and they do work.
Q: I need to know how to find the actual linear length of various pipe fittings (3D, 5D 45/90 degree elbows, tees, reducers, gaskets, and flange adapters. This is not to calculate pressure drop but to determine the amount of rubber needed to line the fittings. Help!
Oh dirty Edna ..
Q: Are you looking forward to witnessing &Operation Mayhem& ?
Contact NYC fire Department. They have in the past made donations You should look up the website for the NYC Firefighters' Association and see if their members will help you to connect with the right people
Q: I'm moving from the West Coast to the South - where studded tires are illegal. My summer tires are bald, so I'm thinking of pulling the studs out of my winter tires and using those. I know summer driving will shorten the tires' lifespan but I won't legally be able to use studded tires anyway, so who cares? Anyway, my question is this: How SAFE are winter tires in the summer? Could disaster strike during my cross country road trip with snow tires?
Which folder in particular? Or are you talking about the system repair partition on the hard drive?
Q: My landlord doesn't seem to know anything about it, and the company doesn't seem to exist anymore. Do you think it's safe to try and use it? My apartment has radiant heat, so, no vents and no air conditioning. It gets quite humid. Can anyone tell me what this is and how it works?
it is illegal he does not own the fire hydrant although in his mind he probably thinks he does own it because he is a x-cop who thinks because of that he thinks he can do whatever he wants.
Q: fire hose 3.8 cm in diameter is capable of spraying water at a velocity of 12 m/s. For a continuous horizontal flow of water, what horizontal force should a fireman exert on the hose to keep it stationary
Key point: in one second the volume of water flowing through the big hose and the small hose will be the same. (The flow speeds are be different) The volume of water flowing through a hose with cross area of A in 1 second is volumev*A where Api*r^2 thus volumev*pi*r^2 (v is the speed of water) For the large hose the water volume in 1 sec is: volumev1*pi*r1^2 For the smaller hose, volumev2*pi*r2^2 equating the 2 equations, v1*pi*r1^2 v2*pi*r2^2 v2v1*(r1/r2)^2 v211*(6/2)^2 v299 m/s
Q: What can I do to smoke in my basement without the smoke alarm going off. The place I smoke in has an alarm within 5 yards of where I stand. ARE THERE ANY TRICKS IN BYPASSING THE ALARM SO IT DOESN'T GO OFF?
Learning how to become a firefighter can be difficult, seeing as how the physical and emotional demands are extremely rigorous (not to mention competition for firefighting jobs is fierce), which is why proper training is critical in order to stand a chance at getting hired. Choosing a career path in the firefighter industry can be highly rewarding. From a physical standpoint, firemen have to be in excellent physical shape in order to quickly carry people to safety, manuever powerful fire hoses, break down doors, and wear heavy protective fire gear. In terms of compensation, firefighters stand to make a competitive salary with plenty of opportunities for job advancement, not to mention the attractive pension plans that are offered. In reference to emotional welfare, most fire crew members will have the opportunity to save someone's property or life at least once (if not more) throughout their career and there is no greater satisfaction than being able to do that as part of your daily job description. The main idea behind FirefighterHow is to serve as a helpful guide and resource in assisting those interested in finding out how to become a firefighter. Each tab on the sidebar contains useful information with regard to things hopeful applicants can start working on today in order to increase their chances of successfully landing a job in the fire department. These same principles can also be applied to other careers in similar fields, such as paramedics, EMTs, and police officers.
