Properties:
Manganese has a melting point of 1245oC,specific gravity of 7.2.Ordinary manganese is a hard and brittle gray-white metal .It is chemically reactive and slowly decompose cold water. Manganese metal is ferromagnetic after special treatment.
Introduction
Electrolytic manganese metal flake is with silver gray metallic luster, hard and crisp, melting point 1245, boilling point 1962, with strong oxidation-reduction capacity. Specific gravity is 7.2. In comparison with metal manganese made by elctric warming, the electrogenerated mental manganese is of higher purity, superior quality and wider application.
Application
Mainly used in steel-making, special steel-making, non-ferrous alloy (A-Mn alloy, Ti-Mn alloy, Mg-Mn alloy). It is also widely applied in chemical industry, electron undustry, medicine, aerospace, medicine. Also it is used in the high performance soft magnetization ferrite, high magnetic permeability ferrite, high saturated magnetic induction density low cost ferrite, high stable low cost ferrite.

- I don't fully understand your question. Manufactured metals? or are you referring to ore minerals? If you are referring to manufactured metals, iron tends not to rust so much - not just because it seldom rains but because the humidity (water vapour present in the atmosphere) is so low. If you are referring to ore minerals, you find similar minerals in the desert to what you find in places with wetter climates. Evaporites, especially gypsum halite, are frequently found in a desert environment but these are not metals. Sulphide minerals of copper, lead and zinc would tend not to oxidise and hydrolyse so much but that said, I have personally seen oxidised copper minerals in the Atacama desert which is one of the driest places on Earth.
