Q: My son had ear tubes inserted about two years ago. I have always used drops in his ears and cleaned them, etc. Sometimes I would look in them with a flashlight to make sure they were ok and not leaking, (When you get an ear infection with tubes, your ears drain some). Today I was doing just that with a flashlight and I actually saw the tubes in both ears..I never noticed this before and I am a VERY observant mother. Could this mean they are getting loose or close to falling out?? Or is it just that I never noticed before. I did try to see them when he first got the tubes, but I never could. Today, out of nowhere I could see these white plastic tubes?? He has been very cranky and irritable, but can't seem to pinpoint where he isn't feeling well. Does losing your tubes (if that is what it is) cause some discomfort?? I imagine it would...anything involving your ears doesn't feel very good. Any medical professionals or experienced parents with any good thoughts???
i strongly suggest to bring him to his ENT doctor. have it checked.. you can only visualize it through an otoscope and not a flashlight. if you can see it something might be wrong. so have it checked now
Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for use in food and beverage industries?
Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for use in food and beverage industries. They are often made from food-grade materials that meet stringent safety and hygiene standards. Plastic tubes offer various advantages such as being lightweight, easy to clean, and resistant to corrosion. They are commonly used for packaging, transporting, and dispensing food and beverage products efficiently and safely.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to staining or discoloration?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to staining or discoloration.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for chemical storage?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for chemical storage depending on the type of chemical being stored. Certain plastics are chemically resistant and can safely contain a wide range of chemicals. However, it is important to consider the specific compatibility of the plastic material with the chemical in question to ensure safe storage and prevent any chemical reactions or degradation of the plastic.
Q: Have you ever noticed it becomed increasingly difficult to stop unwanted back flow of paste towards the sealed end of the plastic tube. Unlike the earlier metallic tubes which could be rolled up from the bottom and be self retaining, the plastic tubes cannot be wound up into a permanent situation but always unroll to a flat state. I have ideas for a simple solution involving no external gadgetry to fiddle around with, maybe you have ideas too?? Keep it simple. Thanks
use a rolling pin to squeez the stuff out...and there is a gadget on the market that looks like 2 fingers, you slip the bottom of the tube between the 2 fingers and just turn up so that the tube rolls around and over the fingers and the paste doesn't backflow..got he idea?..but you can always by toothpast in a pump
Q: What is the purpose of dialysis tubing in the medical world?
It would help if you clarified your question but what came to my mind was the tubing used for peritoneal dialysis. Peritoneal dialysis is a type of dialysis that uses the peritoneum as the semipermeable membrane. The peritoneum is the membrane that surrounds the human gut – stomach, intestines, liver, etc – dialysis is accomplished by filling the space around those organs with dialysate so that waste solutes can dialyze from the blood into the dialysate. In order to fill and empty the dialysate from the gut you need to have a tube placed by a surgeon – a peritoneal catheter. From the outside that peritoneal catheter looks like a plastic tube sticking out of the belly, its purpose is to allow dialysis.
Q: What is the maximum temperature plastic tubes can withstand without deformation?
The maximum temperature that plastic tubes can withstand without deformation depends on the specific type of plastic being used. However, many common plastics have a maximum temperature range of around 150-200 degrees Celsius before they start to deform.
Q: Hello Community, I'm 15 years old and I'm having ear tubes put in next week. Has anybody had ear tubes? What is it like having little metal things in your ear? Also, I live in San Diego and I really like to swim. Will I still be able to swim? I know I can't dive to depths, but can I put my head under water? Please help! THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS! =)
For okorder for information about this tube or precaution while you are using it.
Q: how long will cigars keep in tubes?
Depends on where you live. Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, or other states that are very humid most of the time will keep them for a good long while. (Assuming you don't have them in an air conditioned place all the time that dries the air). If you were in Arizona or California or somewhere like that with very dry conditions most of the time; they will be noticeable drier in only a week or so. The tubes are really more just for presentation (like wax on a whiskey bottle) than they are for preservation. Ideal for cigars is around 75 deg F and 70% humidity. Compare where you have them to that to guage their longevity without proper storage. A ziplock bag with some pieces of dried fruit (apricot, peach, etc) is one home remedy for cigar storage, but I can't speak for it's actual effectiveness. The bag itself probably does most of the actual preservation. If they will fit, you can just get a large mason jar and buy these disposable humidty packs from a cigar company or online. Tear the top off of the envelope and place inside the jar with the smokes. Only about $8 invested and you will have pretty good preservation for at least 6 weeks (or until you put in a fresh pack).
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for insulation in construction?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for insulation in construction. Plastic tubes, particularly those made from materials like polyethylene or PVC, are commonly used as insulation for pipes, electrical wires, and HVAC systems in construction projects. These tubes have good insulating properties, are lightweight, and are resistant to moisture, making them an ideal choice for insulating various components in buildings.
