Q: it comes this plastic tube (it isn't in the pic) but i have no idea where it goes or what is it for?
Does the tube you're referring to have a little hole in it? If so it's for hooking up an airline to help oxygenate the water.
Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of shelf life?
Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of shelf life. Over time, plastic tubes can degrade, become brittle, or lose their flexibility, which affects their overall functionality and durability. Additionally, exposure to certain environmental factors like heat, sunlight, and chemicals can accelerate this degradation process, further reducing their shelf life. It is important to consider these limitations when storing or using plastic tubes to ensure their effectiveness and longevity.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for hydroponic nutrient delivery?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for hydroponic nutrient delivery. They are a commonly used and cost-effective option for transporting nutrient solutions in hydroponic systems. Plastic tubes are flexible, durable, and resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for delivering nutrients to plants in a hydroponic setup.
Q: How are plastic tubes recycled?
Plastic tubes are typically recycled through a process that involves collection, sorting, shredding, melting, and reforming. First, the tubes are collected from various sources such as households or manufacturing facilities. Then, they are sorted based on their type of plastic and color. Next, the tubes are shredded into small pieces, known as flakes or granules. These flakes are then melted down and formed into pellets or beads. Finally, these pellets can be used as raw materials to produce new plastic products or even new plastic tubes, completing the recycling loop.
Q: Are plastic tubes biodegradable?
No, plastic tubes are not biodegradable.
Q: I have a little bit of a project. I'm trying to figure a way to cool a pair of water filled tubing lines. I was thinking to wrap it with some type of cooling device but not quite sure what to use. Can you guys give me some ideas? I want to cool the lines as cool as refrigerator temps. Thanks.
You have not said how much heat you need to disperse - whether it needs to be a continuous process or not. You have not mentioned whether the lines are flexible or what length they are! However, without making things too complicated, if you use a longish length of plastic tubing, you could coil them and run them through a bucket full of an ice/salt/water mixture. Depending on how fast the water is moving through the tubes, if you had a strong mixture of salt and ice - with just enough water in the bucket to allow conduction - you might be able to freeze the water in the tubes - which is probably NOT what you want to do. So experiment before the performance.
Q: How can the pipe support for water supply and drainage be calculated?
DN32 above pipe support calculation, according to different materials, different installation position, different connection way difference calculation, the stent spacing can refer to the specifications (actual construction will be smaller than the specification)
Q: One end has a handle, the other has a fitting with small plastic ball in it,it is coupled at center with threaded piece. What is it
sounds like protection so not to damage the threads or out of round wall. Copper is very soft and does not take much to damage it. Sometimes to prevent contamination on refrigerant cooling copper.
Q: I need to buy plastic (or clear colored) plastic tubes with caps. Approximately 5 or 6 inch in length and close to 1 inch or close to it in width. Would appreciate any suggestions where I find it.
the hardware giants like Lowe's and the Ho Depot are your best bet ... go in the store and ask for plastic tubing==== HEY !! you might do better to go to a friendly pharmacy and get some clear plastic medicine bottles ... go and ASK ... and if this is
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for 3D printing filament?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for 3D printing filament. These tubes are commonly used as spools to hold and dispense the filament material during the printing process. They provide a convenient and organized way to handle and store the filament, ensuring its smooth and uninterrupted flow into the 3D printer.
