I wonder if your reading of 9 is your hemoglobin. If so 9 would be diagnostic of anemia but not which type of anemia. If a person is suspect of having iron deficiency anemia the serum iron is not the proper test but rather the ferritin. A ferritin of 9 would be low. Thus the answer to your question is whether or not you have anemia and what type of anemia. If you have a low ferritin anemia the solution is a prescription for one of a variety of ferritin replacements such as ferrous sulfate. If I may be of further assistance please let me know. Q: In my experiment, I ignited the iron before placing it in a jar containing oxygen. The iron had a reaction with the oxygen and there was no more iron left. What happened? Could you add more detail to the outcome of this reaction?: Iron and oxygen produce rust or Iron oxide when they are joined. However, it is possible that you burned the iron, as oxygen is highly flammable.

Q: Can i cook in my cast iron pan everyday or not ?: Of course you can but cast iron skillets need to be seasoned with oil before use and after every use to maintain them. They are great pans because they can be used on the stove or in the oven. Wash them after use and lightly re-season them with oil after. Wipe them out with a paper towel and you are good to go for their next use.

Q: My iron has a crusty black build up on the heating part. When the setting is put on high, this build-up gets on my clothes. Is there anything or anyway I can clean the iron?: Hi there - do you regularly use starch on your clothes? I am a sewer, and find that after years of ironing with starch it will build up on my iron and ironing board - but usually this takes many, many years. Something may have been ironed at a heat too hot for the fabric, and the fabric may have melted. I don't think you can clean it off, unless maybe you get the iron very hot, and try to wipe it all off onto some scrap fabric of some kind. If it is in the steam holes, then your iron may be ruined. You might have to buy a new iron, and be very careful to use the correct settings so you don't melt anymore fabric. Good luck! :)
