Q: I am trying to replace my kitchen faucet. I have done this before, but never at this house. I can not for the life of me get the old faucet out of there. The nuts are too old and rusted, I have tried a high quality penetrating oil, that didn't seem to work. I am also not too comfortable using a torch, so that's out of the question. There was advice on another website that said just to use a good drill and drill through the nuts since I'm replacing them anyway. I'm not sure if this is really a good idea, but I am at my wits end!The other problem I'm having is I can't figure out how to get the old mounting parts off either. I can take pics with my phone if anyone needs to see them.Any help would be appreciated!!
First of all, you need the right tools for the job. You will need a "basin wrench" which is a long wrench (12-18") that has a head that flips for either tightening or loosening the nuts. This wrench will keep your hands below the bottom of the sink and help prevent "bloody knuckles syndrome". If the nuts are frozen to the point that a basin wrench won't turn them, use a "mini hacksaw" to cut one side of each of the nuts that hold your faucet to the sink. If the nuts are made from brass, this will be relatively easy being that brass is a soft metal. Once you cut the nuts, use a flat screwdriver to open the gaps created by hacksawing through the nuts. At this point, the nuts should be removed easily. When you are lying under the sink and looking up at the faucet base, BE SURE TO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! When you put on your new faucet, be sure to lightly coat all threads with a good quality plumber's grease. This will make repairs/removal alot easier next time.
Q: How to connect the water heater to the basin
In the hot water pipe, then a three links, and then from the top of the three connected with a two-wire with water pipes to the basin faucet, you can
Q: I want to change the faucet of the wash basin, ask the steps. There are pictures
Under the basin corresponding to the leading parts, there are two screws, the screw loose, the faucet can be too high.
Q: i got the old faucet off just fine, but am having trouble reconnecting the water supply. every time i try to screw it on it starts out fine when i twist it on with my fingers, but as soon as i try to tighten it further with the basin wrench both hot and cold lines screw on very crooked. after a couple of tries i thought maybe it wouldnt cause that much of a problem so after i turned them as far as they would go i turned the valves back on to see and water sprayed everywhere. what am i doing wrong?
You cross-threaded the faucet and possibly the connecting lines. You have to replace both. Next time make sure you have the threads correctly aligned before you tighten them.
Q: Faucet to open the water heater why not fire
Water heater can not hit the fire, there are several reasons: First, check the battery if there is electricity, if the battery is no electricity, then the performance of power failure or no fire, replace the battery after the general can be resolved. Second, the water pressure is too low. Now the gas water heater can be low water pressure start, but if the water pressure is too low, then the water and gas linkage valve will not start, the performance of no ignition. Of course, the water at the filter plug can also cause the water flow is too small, just clean up. Third, the water vapor linkage valve water pressure diaphragm aging. Hydraulic membrane aging loss of elasticity, it will cause the slider is not flexible, then even if the water pressure is normal, the gas will not pass, the performance for the first time can be used normally, but the second use will be separated by a period of time and so on Block normal reset to fire, or simply can not fire. Fourth, the flue is blocked. Flue obstruction will cause high-temperature exhaust row does not go out, resulting in return pressure, resulting in failure of ignition, we can according to the fire situation and the amount of exhaust gas to determine the size of the general can be clear after the normal ignition. Fifth, the air pressure is not normal. Natural gas pipe network pressure is normal, but the gas tank is not necessarily, the gas pressure is too high or too low will cause no fire, adjust the liquefied gas valve or replace the rubber mold.
Q: What is a single shower faucet dual shower faucet
Single show the general situation that only a single water nozzle Shuanghua sprinkle water with a top spray hand and a few water
Q: What is the difference between a single hole and a double hole in a bathroom cabinet?
Elected to their favorite on the line slightly, you want to good quality to choose the brand, more secure. Good quality is not a single hole
Q: Most of the faucet handle in the unit are broken, but you can also control the switch, directly for the new waste is too wasteful, but not deal with the inconvenient, The Do you have any way to repair or pick something instead of a handle? Question added: handle no more
Handle is not a simple, casually find something sticky, as long as the convenience is not on the line to buy 502 glue to fall off the handle stick.
Q: How to install the kitchen faucet
Or to find a professional plumber is better. Need raw materials, wrenches, their own easy to leak
Q: Im trying to replace my faucet sink in my bathroom the bolts wont come off ! I tried using the wrench I have but it wont turn what can I do? is there another tool I can use
The tool is called a basin wrench. Sometimes they can be on very tight and or corroded. I have had to cut some off.
