Q: Can plastic tubes be customized in terms of size and color?
Yes, plastic tubes can be customized in terms of size and color.
Q: The iron pipes and plastic pipes, that antifreeze
If the plastic pipe reaches a certain temperature, will accelerate aging, even cracking.
Q: How do plastic tubes compare to cardboard tubes in terms of strength?
Plastic tubes generally tend to be stronger than cardboard tubes in terms of strength. Plastic tubes are more durable and resistant to bending or crushing compared to cardboard tubes, which can easily collapse under pressure. Additionally, plastic tubes are often able to withstand harsher environmental conditions, making them more suitable for applications that require higher strength and durability.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for oxygen delivery in medical applications?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for oxygen delivery in medical applications.
Q: A 0.596 kg metal cylinder is placed inside the top of a plastic tube, the lower end of which is sealed off by an adjustable plunger, and comes to rest some distance above the plunger. The plastic tube has an inner radius of 7.07 mm, and is frictionless. Neither the plunger nor the metal cylinder allow any air to flow around them. If the plunger is suddenly pushed upwards, increasing the pressure between the plunger and the metal cylinder by a factor of 2.31, what is the initial acceleration of the metal cylinder? Assume the pressure outside of the tube is 1.00 atm. Please answer in m/s^2. Thank you!
Before the sudden push, the net force on the metal cylinder is zero. This means downward force = upward force p0 A + m g = p A, where p0 is atmospheric pressure, p the pressure of the trapped air, m the mass of the metal cylinder, g the acceleration due to gravity and A the inner cross sectional area of the plastic tube. If the pressure p is momentarily increased to 2.31 p, then there is a net upward force of magnitude Fnet_up = 2.31 p A - p0 A - m g = 1.31 p0 A - 1.31 m g This net force gives rise to an acceleration that obeys Newton's second law: m a = Fnet m a = 1.31 p0 A - 1.31 m g a = 1.31 p0 A /m - 1.31 g = 1.31 * 1.01*10^5 N/m^2 * ( pi * (7.07*10^-3 m)^2 ) / 0.596 kg - 1.31 * 9.81 m/s^2 = 22.0 m/s^2
Q: Are plastic tubes biodegradable?
No, plastic tubes are not biodegradable.
Q: I would like to give all the girls in my daughter's dance company single stemmed roses after they compete in an upcoming dance competition. I tried last year just keeping the flowers in the car in water but that didn't work very well. Plus it was a hassle getting them from the car since I had my daughter's costumes, make up, etc and other props. I would like to this year use those individual water tubes that usually come on single stemmed flowers but I'm not finding them. I am buying for about 30 girls so I need to keep this as affordable as possible. Any ideas on how to create a homemade version or buy them for cheap? I will call a florist but I'm anticipating them not selling to me because they would want me to buy the roses from them (I am just buying about 2 1/2 dozen and doing it myself. Thanks so much!
You might try using plastic tubing and plugging the ends. Glass tubing is another way to go, more durable but also more expensive more work. Glass tubing can be cut to length then closed off on one end by heating in a flame until it pulls together. Large drinking straws could work as well, you could seal the bottoms with an iron by placing the straw between aluminum foil sheets.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to water?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to water.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for packaging food products?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for packaging food products. They are commonly used for products like sauces, condiments, and pastes. The plastic used for these tubes is typically food-grade and meets safety regulations. Plastic tubes offer convenience, easy dispensing, and can be sealed to maintain product freshness.
Q: Just wondering if the blue and red coloured sharkbite Pex tubing that is sold in states legal to use in Canada? I'm looking to do the plumbing in my new home and am looking to use this stuff rather than the copper. Thanks for any help
Can't imagine a problem with code compliance. PEX (plastic extruded tubing) has been used in northern Europe for decades, because it won't split when water freezes inside it -- it just swells up like a sausage, then reverts to it's original shape when thawed. The stuff is made from the same material as trash bags, and it will outlast cockroaches. It won't interact chemically with water or with impurities which might be in the water, it steals less heat from the water than does copper, so the wait for hot water is shorter, and it doesn't transmit sound as readily as copper. Only caveat is to be careful to use quality fittings -- the few problems I've ever heard of with PEX all had to do with inferior or poorly installed elbows, tee fittings, etc. I've used it exclusively for 8 years (well over 100 custom homes) and never had a single problem.
