Q: I am building a small rolling road to test my nitro RC cars out and i am trying to figure out the best way to simulate a realistic resisance for the engine and transmission to work againstany ideas?
This answer is for those who live in Australia. There is an Australian Standard that governs the maintenance of fire extinguishers - AS1851. To comply, you need a tag to record the six monthly checks. Compliance is not necessary in a home situation, only in a commercial environment, or in a strata housing block. The tag is stamped on the month/year it is inspected, with the number 1 through to 5 depending on the nature of the inspection. Local Government enforce the AS1851. An unstamped extinguisher tag might be OK for the first 6 months (if you can prove when you bought it), but it is better if it is stamped, so there is no question that it is compliant. Extinguishers that are older than 5 years must be emptied and pressure tested. Its often cheaper to replace them
Q: I am doing an estimate for my sprinkler system materials and it calls for Class 200 PVC pipe. I found a great deal on Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Will this work instead of the Class 200? What is Class 200?Thanks very much for your help.
If you have 80mm of spacers and rim thickness, I would have to say you are probably doing it wrong. You gotta admit that sounds a little rediculous. Have you considered buying rims that fit, even a little bit?
Q: In 1998, I was working at Publix In Fort Pierce, FL. as a front service personnel. I had just finished bringing some groceries to a customers car, and was walking in with the cart in one hand and my umbrella in the other because it was raining. I was at the bottom of the wheelchair ramp going into the building when lightning hit the lightning rod on the building, branched off, and hit me throwing me a good 15 to 20 feet away and knocking me out. When I awoke I was soaking wet. I walked into the store and my manager asked me if I was alright because I was white as a ghost. I had no marks on my body, but ever since I have had problems with intense shaking when I get nervous and my metabolism has never been the same. I also was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder while in boot camp shortly thereafter. Is this the body's normal response to that kind of event and is there anything that I can do to reverse it? If anybody has exrerienced anything similar; I'd appreciate your help.
You can see ABS at any Home Depot, Lowe's or most hardware stores. It's actually an inner wall + an outer wall with a foam core - tougher than it sounds. But I personally prefer cast-iron, which is much quieter than plastic drain pipe. The problem with ABS breaking at the fittings was with a particular brand (Centaur) and it was many years ago. It resulted in a lawsuit against Shell Oil, who provided the chemicals for that batch of pipe. That was a real nightmare.
Q: these stripes were applied professionally from the factory..I am looking for away to soften the material(3M reflective) to pull this off from the paint?
If you mean the drain pipe that connects to your sewer system it can get pricey depending on how much needs to be removed, replaced. Typically, the costs come in labor rather than in parts when it comes to pipes and fittings. IF what you're asking about involves where the toilet seats to the floor, and IF you actually need to replace everything vs. just reseating the commode (1 source of leaks in a toilet is a bad seal $10.00 part and 45 minutes of labor), then at a minimum you're looking at getting a new flange, (perhaps with extensions), a new wax ring, likely an elbow of some kind, and an appropriate run of pipe. All those parts run about $50.00 (Give or take) when working with plastic/PVC. More with metal. To replace them means moving the commode (15-30 minutes), cleaning the area and removing the damaged pipe. Depending on the damage that could take a couple of hours or it could take another 15-30 minutes. Replacing, cementing, fixing, futzing I'd anticipate 2.5 hours and $75.00 in parts. Not sure what your plumber charges by the hour. Good luck.
Q: When I was a youngin' in school, they told us that if you pulled the fire alarm, you were sprayed with some kind of ink so they know who pulled it. Is this true, and if it is, isn't it a bit of a hazard in the event of a real fire?
the maximum fire which takes place is eighter an oven fire or fire in a lavatory or fire while landing 1}. to fight an oven fire we have BCF which is a halon extinguisher, so the crew can easily fight fire 2}. if thre is a fire in a lavatory {toilet fire} that is only coz of the lay out stupid passengers who smoke in the toilet, fire can tak place in the bin or anywhere in the lavatory, so to fight this fire there is an automatic fire estinguisher which is located beneath the sink area if da temp exceeds 77c or 170 f the bcf starts automatically releasing non toxic gasses. 3}.n if there is a fire while landing passengers has 90 secs for ditching out of an air craft. they are provided with oxygen bottle. so dont worry fire takes place in very rare cases, n we cannot provide fire blankets to each passenger when there is only 90 secs for ditching.
Q: Does anyone know why this is happening? The battery is good, but after a medium length shower with the shower door open a little the alarm goes off. I plan to talk to the apartment office, but just wonder if it is defective. Thanks.
Bad ideathose ancient organisms will not have adapted to the conditions of the world today, so they'd probably just die off anywaykind of like how all the aliens die off in War of the Worlds A time machine in your garage.?
Q: What is the function of the pipe joint?
Hydraulic term is a part of a hydraulic system that connects the pipe or sets the line to the hydraulic element
Q: Puvc pipe joint leakage how to do?
Changing a new one is cheaper than maintaining it. If your part doesn't allow you to change it
Q: I was traveling at approx 30 Mph on a major mountain highway in Oregon. Road conditions were icy with a thin layer of snow. I had studded tires on my SUV. Chains were not required. There was no visible gravel nor sand on this portion of the highway. I lost all traction, slid for about 20 seconds fishtailing until finally clipping the front of an oncoming mini van. I was able to regain control and park off the side of the road. No one was injured but the damage was bad enough to contact state police. 3 gravel trucks arrived prior to State police and heavily graveled the roads. After police noted statements I was cited with a $427.00 careless driving ticket. Honestly I feel I didn't deserve this citation. My question is, does anyone think I have a legitimate case against this ticket and If so how do I go about fighting it? And, will it be worth it? Or do I plead no-contest, submit a letter and hope for the best?
You ) or by calling 1-800-THE-ASME.
Q: Do you guys think this trio is enough to beat The Shield?
City or State code plays a factor here. Flexible K copper is not cheap plus some states require the line to be 8 feet deep. If you have old black pipe or galvanized pipe, yes you should replace the whole thing. If you can have it 3 feet deep then you can do this your self and pay a plumber to hook it up. Save big bucks. Contact your City on there requirements. Plumbing store for the copper. Rental store for a ditch witch to dig a trench. Plumber to tie in all of your fittings and to the meter. Under ground requires a flaired fitting to connect the copper lines. But for a plumber to do the job for under $36.00 per foot seems like a great price to me. It would be a great deal more here in Ohio.
