Q:Can solar panels be installed on a stadium or sports arena?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a stadium or sports arena. Many stadiums and sports arenas around the world have already installed solar panels to generate renewable energy. The large roof spaces and ample sunlight exposure make them ideal locations for harnessing solar power.
Q:Has anyone actually used those kits online like energy4green or earth4energy to build their own solar panels or windmills? I'm so tempted but with my budget can't afford to waste any money. They have a 60 day money back policy but that doesn't include the money used to buy the supplies to try and build the things. My electric bill is almost $300 a month due to my stay at home disabled veteran husband who went from Utah snow to Florida sun and he has to have the AC on really cold. If anyone has actually built one can you tell me of your experience and if it actually is worth the money? I do lots of D.I.Y. projects but am a novice with electric besides installing a ceiling fan and changing out a light switch.
Electric panels are not feasible for most people. They are two super thin layers of polarized material. When the sun hits them electrons move from the first to the second layer with an amount of force. You can't duplicate that at home. What you could do is setup solar heating panels and run them against a Stirling engine. This technique is typically more efficient than normal electric panels anyway in industry. They have heat on one side and cold on the other to generate force. Hook that to any generator to produce electricity. If you are successful building a home system, blog about it, others will want to know precisely how you did it.
Q:I need to know where I can buy the parts or find them as scrap to make my own solar panels. Is there a cheap way of buying the panels or can I make them myself.
You can buy a box broken cells and solder them together and save big bucks.
Q:I would like to know if I had a mobile kitchen could I power it from solar panels mounted atop the vehicle (truck).(to power electric kitchen equipment, i.e. stove, deep fryer.), instead of propane…could I possibly connect the solar panels to a battery to save my generated electricity? If solar panels would not be enough power could a small windmill suffice…?
The best way to find out is to determine the wattage of each piece of equipment you want to use and how many hours you want to use those pieces of equipment. Finally, calculate the total number of Watt-Hours you need at minimum. Then you need to research solar panels or mobile wind mills (they need to be pretty huge to get a decent amount of energy I think, so solar power is probably the way to go). You will need to figure out the efficiency of the solar panels, the size of the array, how you will turn it or if you will turn it at all (to face the sun to get the maximum energy input, or maybe to use mirrors so you don't have to turn it. Once you find a good configuration for your mobile kitchen, you need to calculate if the Watt-Hours you will generate on an average day (with average weather) is enough to power the equipment whose energy requirements you previously calculated. Then you have to keep in mind that some days will have no sun, and you may not be working on some days, but you can still capture sunlight. For each case, a large battery array will be required. If you had a guage on that array, you could also hook it up to the a small generator in case you need immediate power. It's an eco-friendly process, but the initial cost is high and it requires a lot of research and planning. This is why most people do not do it--not because they don't want free energy from the sun, but because it's not easy to start collecting that energy in an efficient way. Sorry I couldn't give you more specific numbers, but a solar panel sales agency should be able to estimate whether or not you could do it (they'd probably set it all up for you too). ^_^
Q:What's the best deal going on companies leasing out Solar Panels in California?
you have been very mislead by someone. Or ? did you listen to a Obama speech or something ? EDIT ; thanks for response via e mail. But if you think you can save money by, renting solar panels , then you are a very ignorant person. The only way that a scheme would would work ,is if the company that is leasing the panels to you ,,have bribed lobbied the local or fed politicians to get subsidized to provide the panels. then they get payed to install them and guaranteed to make a profit by the gov. for green energy that is why you have to pay 25 cents , while most people pay 0 cents , because you subsidizing all the profits of these Professional thieves. Who's job is to find new ways to get into that deep pool of public dollars,,tax dollars . Question for you .. Do really think the rented solar panels will? ) pay for installation 2) pay for the cost to buy the panes 3) pay the sales commission to the people that sold it to you 4) pay the on going commission to those that over see them 5) Add to that the higher rate on your elec bill to pay for these people to be subsidized , so they can rent you some solar panels ??????? Like I said ,,,,,,,you must be very ignorant about energy. Or very Ignorant about the thousands of companies that are formed to succk tit of the tax payers. You are ignorant on both of those points. So dont get piisssed of at me for answering your question !!!!! Instead , you should ask why you are so easily led ? Why you are so easily fooled by the users ? That is those that use the gov to use ignorant people like you. HAHAHAAH. And you fell for the whole scam without even realizing it That is why I use the word ignorant ,, because you are. If you dont know what ignorant means google it to find out. because you are,
Q:How do solar panels affect the electricity bill?
Solar panels can significantly reduce or even eliminate electricity bills by generating clean and renewable energy from the sun. By harnessing solar power, these panels can offset a portion or all of a household's electricity consumption, thereby reducing the amount of power needed from the utility grid. This ultimately leads to lower electricity bills and potential savings over the long term.
Q:Can solar panels be integrated into windows?
Yes, solar panels can be integrated into windows. These solar panels, known as solar windows or building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), are designed to replace traditional windows while capturing sunlight and generating electricity. They offer a dual functionality of providing natural light and generating clean energy, making them an innovative and energy-efficient solution for buildings.
Q:Around this time here in Georgia we will begin to get some big storms with high winds. I have a solar panel on a mount that isn't all that sturdy and could be knocked over with any winds pretty much above 5mph. I can't put anything in the ground to do this. I used to have it mounted to the roof of a playground for the most sunlight, but because of the angle of the sun and the tree leaves, I have to have it on a quot;portablemount so I can move it throughout the day, and I can tell you one thing is certain, and that's that it isn't the most sturdy thing ever. I'll have it a little better next weekend but it'll still be able to easily blow in the wind. Should I just hang the panel along the wall during a storm then reconnect it to its base once it's over?I'm pretty good with wood, so any wood creations to help out with the thing would greatly help. Just please keep it on a low budget.
You have to make the decision weather you want it portable or stationary. If you want stationary I would make some good brackets for them / search for cheap ones on OKorder. I'd have to see them to be able to offer any better suggestions. It's always hard to decide so you'll have to take notes and do research.
Q:Thanks
Initial cost , space occupied AND DAILY CYCLE (unless through a battery) are the only disadvantages. REST ARE ALL ADVANTAGES
Q:Can solar panels be used in agriculture?
Yes, solar panels can be used in agriculture. They provide a renewable and clean source of energy that can power various agricultural activities such as irrigation systems, lighting, and machinery. Additionally, solar panels can be installed on agricultural buildings or unused land, allowing farmers to generate their own electricity and reduce their carbon footprint.
