- Q: Bathroom cabinet, such as hanging type requirements clear wall is the load bearing wall?
- Wall-mounted (hanging) bathroom main cabinet installation steps: first check the wall whether the real core (otherwise switch to floor type), according to the selected hole, with the impact of drilling holes in the wall (installed on the ground from the ground 83cm), the wall accessories in the plug into the hole, and then self-tapping screws to lock the cabinet and cover, can also be installed with expansion screws. After the installation of the cabinet is complete, then the countertops are aligned with the chessboard.
- Q: Bathroom cabinet faucet bad for a good change? Can I change it?
- Can be changed, the first angle valve closed, and then the leading hose from the corner of the nut on the other end of the nut unscrewed, then you can open the bathroom cabinet on the faucet. As long as the faucet in the wash basin below the cut on the nut on the cut, you can tear out the faucet, the faucet as much as possible to buy a little, both health and durability, the future can save a lot of trouble.
- Q: Can anyone tell me how to install a granite bathroom vanity. Do I need to put plywood before I put granite ?
- Most bath room vanities are sized such at the granite counter top doesn't need any extra support unless it is cantilevered. We just had granite counter tops added to our master bath and the 3/4' plywood sides were more than adequate to support the granite. Each vanity was 40' wide and 23' deep with supports for the granite on all four sides. We had undermount sinks installed at the same time. It is best to have the supplier of the granite responsible for that work. They need to get the cutout correct and the placement of the inserts for the supporting screws. That is assuming they are going to use the inserts rather than just epoxy to attach the sink to the counter top. We have a piece of granite on our kitchen island with an 18' cantilevered section on each end. In this case there is a rectangular support for the whole piece of granite made from 1' square steel tubing. This assures that the ends will not break off.
- Q: Does it have a fixed size? Like the length of the depth of 800 there is no fixed size ah?
- Most of the bathroom cabinets are the most common standard size is long (usually including the cabinet, including) for the 800mm ~ 1000mm, width (wall distance): 450mm ~ 500mm
- Q: So a little help on how to disconnect pipes and whatnot
- Fun stuff... I just remodled my bathroom last year. The pipe traps under your sink just need to be unscrewed from the wall... plug that pipe with a rag so sewer gas doesn't come in. Since you want to remove the whole thing, sink and all... just look under the sink and typically if it's marble or something... there will be some retaining clips holding the sink or top to the wood cabinet below... knock those loose and the top comes right off. After that it's just a job for a prybar and hammer. Those things come apart real easy.
- Q: My toilet and bathroom cabinet in a row, into the toilet left hand position is the bathroom cabinet and then the toilet. Ask the next toilet under the water pipe bathroom cabinet side to the wall is one meter two I need to buy much bathroom cabinet suitable? As if seven hundred and eighty wide can put down
- Take the actual amount of the ruler ~ or please come to help you come to the size of the bar
- Q: I want to install a pedestal sink, but I worry that I wont be able to access the pipes because of the pedestal in front of it ( I have to remove the whole sink). If I install a vanity I can repair pipes all the time.
- Pedestal sinks come in two pieces—the stand (pedestal) and the sink itself. The plumbing fits inside the pedestal, which is secured to the floor. The sink is mounted to the wall and also rests on the pedestal stand. Before you decide to purchase, here are some things to think about: Installing one is a little more difficult than a regular drop-in or wall-mount lavatory. Fitting the plumbing inside the pedestal can be close work. Also, matching the sink to the proper level on the wall and the exact height of the pedestal requires precise measurements. Decide whether you can live without the storage space of a vanity cabinet. Remember, to make room for the new ped lav, the counter top and cabinet are going away. Shelving or recessed medicine cabinets can compensate for some lost cabinet space. If you are removing an old vanity, the floor and wall will probably require some attention, and the water supply lines may have to be relocated As far as repairing the pipes is concerned I wouldn't worry too much as it isn't something that requires attention often. You should be able to go at least 10 years minimum before any maintenance is required unless there is an accident.
- Q: We have a nook between a wall and linen closet in our new bathroom where the bathroom vanity and sink will go. Problem is its 41.5 inches wide. Only standard vanities are 40" - are we forced to get custom cut counters? Otherwise what do we do with this space between the walls?
- Have a piece of wood trim cut 1 1/2 inch wide to fit in the space between the vanity and wall. Pick a type of wood that matches your vanity.
- Q: My bathroom just installed a bathroom cabinet is the kind of shower with shower shower hot and cold water no problem but the side of the face only cold water faucet on the right and the middle of the cold water but the left but no water is how the matter
- Hot water pipe barrier, check the angle valve has not opened!
- Q: I am installing a bathroom vanity that is on the same wall as my hot water baseboard. What is the best way to allow the heat to escape from my vanity and into the room? The vanity is 30" wide and the room is in total about 8.5 feet by 4.5 feet (floor space only, not including tub and shower)Is it OK to cover this section of the pipe with insulation? This would protect the vanity? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Shawn
- Either put the vanity in a different place or move the heat register. You will trap the heat inside the vanity, those registers only work well if air can move through them, creating a convection current. It can be a real pain to drain the system and move the baseboard, then refill and get the air out. Seriously consider putting the vanity elswhere or install a pedestal sink.
