Q: Master bedroom washbasin faucet how to install the washing machine tube
In the faucet below the water at the three links, and then split out a washing machine
Q: The faucets are Kohler faucets and they are probably not brass but are brass colored. Any suggestions you might have will be appreciated.
if you aren't sure if it actually is brass i'm not sure how well of a job it will do in polishing it. Basically most polishes work by rubbing off the oxide that has formed. I'm not sure how brasso wil react with non-brass metals, the same way iwouldn't polish sterling silver with brasso. if anything might i suggest some sort of home concoction? I Think vinegar was something peoples used as polishing. It has an acidic property to help remove the oxide, but no chemicals to worry about that might mingle with the metal. I don't recall what else they mix with the vinegar. You can just google "home made polish" I'm sure it'llg ive you a list of them Well good luck with your fixtures.
Q: I've read step by step tutorials I found on google, but I'm stuck at only the first few steps! After turning the water off I was going to disconnect the supply lines as well as the nut that holds the current faucet onto the sink, but it seems as if it's in the counter. I don't know if that's clear enough, but the lines run into the counter it looks like, I was wondering if there was anyway I can reach this without going to extraordinary lengths like taking the countger top off
I think that U are describing that U cannot reach or even see the nut. there is a special wrench made called a plumbers wrench. It is a steel post about ten inches long. The top of the post has a set of horizontal jaws like those on a pipe wrench. The bottom of the post has a long rod that provides leverage so that U can turn the wrench from below. To turn the wrench in the other direction the jaws can be flipped over. Now U know why plumbers earn the big bucks ~~~~~~~ I try to not turn the water valves off in the bathroom. The valve often starts to leak and can be very difficult to change. Turning off the water from outside of the house leads to many other compllications though.
Q: I purchased a new faucet with sprayer. Currently I have a faucet but no sprayer.next to where the sprayer should go, there is a overflow for my dishwasher. Do I need to drill another hole or do I need to do something with the overflow ?
you can probably re-work your dishwasher drain line under your sink drain, which removes the need for an overflow. Usually, these drain into a disposal anyhow. Then perhaps the existing hole will be sufficient. Take a look at a friends under sink plumbing to get ideas.
Q: I have tried a basin wrench, a socket wrench, an adjustable wrench... I have used heat, I have used WD-40, I have used a hammer and a flat head screwdriver to try and loosed the nut and bolt. I have even tried a hacksaw, but that gets me nowhere quick. I really don't want to have to remove my sink completely to change the faucet. I think Hercules tightened these nuts. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get these nuts off so I can change out the faucets?
I'd have to assume you're referring to the pot metal hex nuts that hold the faucet assembly down in the sink, or possibly the newer plastic nuts, which can sometimes be so tight that it seems nearly impossible to remove them. If the nuts are metal, I'm sort of with Ed, in that I use a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel attachment to cut the nut. You're probably not going to reuse the faucet assembly so it doesn't matter if you mess up the threads on the bolts or threaded pipes hanging down under the sink. The Dremel tool is small enough to get it up into fairly tight areas and with a little care you can cut the nuts in two and then knock them loose with a small punch and hammer. If the nuts are the plastic ones with the four fins sticking up, I made a tool out a piece of 1" galv. pipe, by cutting a couple of slots in a cross formation on top with a hacksaw, that fits right over the fins and can be turned with either a small screwdriver, (if you drill a hole through the bottom end of the pipe), or with a pair of channel locks, by grabbing on to the pipe itself. Just use safety glasses while working under a sink to protect your eyes.
Q: How is the detachment of the Crowe basin?
In the case of disassembly, you can open the door at the door of the lock, unlock the wire wrapped around the bracket, you can wash basin together with the basin with the water from the bracket to move down, The washbasin is disassembled on the ground.
Q: What is the difference between a single hole and a double hole in a bathroom cabinet?
Single hole is a single cold water faucet, double hole is out of hot and cold water, according to their needs to buy, to be beautiful is not a problem, like what kind of election can be selected to their favorite line slightly, you want quality Good to choose the brand name, more secure. Good quality is not a single hole
Q: What is the faucet in the basin?
Head tied to the lower part of the gap leakage reasons: it is because the gland within the triangular gasket caused by wear. You can loosen the screw to remove the tie head, then remove the gland, and then remove the inside of the gland inside the triangle seal, put on a new one.
Q: It stopped working out of no where so the only way i can use my kitchen sink is to use the hand held spreyer.. I have never replaced one before and wasnt sure if i need to turn off water to the whole house or not...
No, just the valves under the sink. It may be the sprayer is actually the failure point, they seem to get gunked up, and won't release, they sell a $5 kit to just replace the head on the sprayer, but they rarely work, save yourself the trouble and buy the $15 hose and sprayer kit to replace the whole thing altogether.
