Q: What is the difference between rigid and rigid and semi rigid in electric PVC plastic pipes?
The essence of PVC is a kind of vacuum blister film. It is used in the surface packing of various panels, so it is also called decorative film and adhesive film. It is applied to many fields such as building materials, packaging, medicine and so on. Among them, the building materials industry accounted for the largest proportion, 60%, followed by the packaging industry, as well as other small range of applications.
Q: What's the transparent plastic pipe in the aquarium? A black plug is plugged in. Do you want the water in the pipe?
Don't let the water out. That's the Venturi air inlet. The pump runs to keep the water up.
Q: It seems to me that if this country is serious about environmental issues, we should not be packaging products in anything that cannot be recycled. The world is becoming one big garbage dump!
Most kinds of plastics can be recycled if someone is willing to go to the trouble to set up the systems to do so. However, some kinds of plastics are either more difficult (expensive) to recycle, or the markets for the recycled plastic are too small or of such low value that nobody is willing to process them. Sometimes the plastic in a package may be of a type that is commonly recycled, but the manufacturer may not put the necessary recycling symbol on it. This can be true of very small packages. Just because a plastic package is technically recyclable does not mean it will be recycled. Mixed plastic recyclables are sent to sorting centers where the more common and more valuable types are segregated. The remaining plastics that are not worth recycling are either sent to landfill or sometimes lumped together and recycled into lower value materials where blends of different types of plastic are acceptable (e.g. construction materials). And of course not everybody recycles. Many people just throw recyclable materials in the general trash. And keep in mind that some packages, especially for food and personal care products, are made of several layers of different types of plastics. These can't be recycled because the different types of plastics can't be separated.
Q: My two young female gerbils are chewing on the CritterTrail plastic tubes I have connected to the cages. They have tons of chew toys, food, and space. I've placed two toilet paper holders in their large nest area. It's helped a little, but they still chew on the plastic tubes. Which is VERY noisy, and I don't think chewing on plastic is good for them compared to natural wood.
what they due, if you in a cage see freedom you try escape same way.
Q: My 99 Ford Escort has been making sloshy water sounds and whistling sounds on the passenger side of the car when I run the A/C. I have also noticed that the floor is damp on the passenger side only. If I look up under and behind the glove compartment there is a black plastic box that is covered with condensation within a few minutes of running the a/c. Based on what I've read, this problem is probably a blocked drain rather than the heater core (I live in Florida and haven't touched my heater in 6 months :P). Can anyone confirm? The noise has also been getting worse, I noticed the damp floor a week or two ago, but the water noises have only kicked up the past 2 days. Will running the a/c without fixing it permanently damage anything? If I can't locate the drain to unblock and have to take it into the mechanic, how much would I be looking at? Thanks!
It ( might) be a block A/C drain outlet which is on the bottom of the firewall in the engine comp. It should look like the size of your little finger a black piece of rubber. take a piece of wire and try to probe the inside. You say your floor board is wet, check your coolant level in the radiator, if it is low than it could be your heater core is leaking. Coolant will have a smell compared to just plain water.
Q: What is the purpose of dialysis tubing in the medical world?
Dialysis removes toxins from the blood. It is generally performed on people whose kidneys have stopped working in order to stop them from being poisoned by their own waste.
Q: This connector is used with plastic tubing and is inserted into a rubber stopper (which is in turn inserted into a waste flask). The 'wings' are for holding the tubing in place. Previously this connector is believed to have been bought through Fisher Scientific, but recent searches (with out knowing the name of this item) have not yielded results. If anyone has any suggestions of where to obtain this or what this is called it would be greatly appreciated.
Can't see the image. Is it a condenser?
Q: I've just started my phlebotomy class and have 8 different colors tubes which are Yellow (Sterile tube), Light Blue, Red,Gold(SST), Light Green(PST), Green,Lavender, and Grey. I'm having trouble understanding what tubes go where.... like I know Red tube is used for Chemistry and Light Blue is used for Coagulation..... The book really isan't that great so I'm kind of confused... Also I've looked on the internet and they mention a pink tube that is used for blood going to the blood bank but there is no pink tube mentioned anywhere in my book. If anyone could take the time to help me out with this I would appreciate it so much and gladly give you the 10 points...... My instructor is great at the hands on portion of actually drawing the blood but lacking very much so in the lecture portion.... so as you can imagine I'm lost! Thanks so much!
They pertain to the different tests they are used to draw and any additives that are (or aren't) in the tube.
Q: OK I am trying to make one of those soda drinking hats (because I have all of this spare clear plastic tubing from Menards from another project, and I couldn't think of anything else to do with it). When drinking out of it, it gives that plastic-like taste which I hope will go away over time. Anyway is this bad for me because I don't know if there is a different cleaner tubing that the real hats use and if it is safe to drink from their tubes. Should I just buy one of the hats off OKorder or just make my own... I don't want to poison myself or anything.
what kind of tubing was it? was it sitting in the garage for months? the plastic taste isnt bad, but if it was sitting in your garage for months, you might wanna run soappy water throught it a few times then run clean water throught it for a few mins....just to be safe
Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of clarity or transparency?
Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of clarity or transparency. While some plastic materials used for tubes, such as acrylic, offer excellent clarity and transparency, others may have reduced clarity due to inherent properties or manufacturing processes. Factors like colorants, additives, or impurities can affect the transparency of plastic tubes. Additionally, certain plastics may have lower optical properties, resulting in reduced clarity or transparency compared to other materials like glass.
