4. Ceramic Fiber Technical Parameters
There are four kinds of ceramic fiber products according to the temperature and chemical content. They are STD(1260℃),HP(1260℃),HA(1350℃, high alumina),HZ(1430℃,contain ZrO2).
1) For the blanket, the bulk density will be 64kg/m3, 96 kg/m3, 128 kg/m3, 160 kg/m3.
2) For the paper, the bulk density will be 160-220 kg/m3.
3) For the board, the bulk density will be 240-400kg/m3.
Application
◆ Petrochemical process heater refractory fiber lining ◆ General furnace backup insulation
◆ Heat treating furnace or intermittent (shuttle) kiln hot face lining ◆ Electrical insulator
◆ Heat seals for kiln car or furnace door ◆ High temperature acoustic
◆ Fire protection

- Q: I mean the sugary kind you can buy at WalMart in bottles.
- dying fabric requires a 'mordant' to treat the natural fiber prior to adding the colormordants give the fabric and kind of coating for the color to attach and soak into the fiberdifferent fabrics require different mordants, but alum and cream of tartar are the most commonyou can use the grocery store kind or fabric/craft stores might have the saltsthe earthguild link has the recipes for different mordants and fabrics I have tried powdered kool aid dying in the past and yes, it does fade with repeated washingsI haven't tried with the liquid kool aidI imagine the sugar acting strangely with the mordantthat might be kool, pun intendedsoak the fabric in the alum solution for several hours prior to the dying processgoing from wet-to-wet lets the fabric soak up the color betterthe longer you leave it in the dye, the deeper the colorand even if you hang to drip-dry, throw it in the dryer or set with an ironthe heat will help set the color into the fibers.
- Q: i know that fiber has a high frequency range that made it capable to use light to transmit its data, but i don't know why fiber has a high frequency range (from the material point of view)?please help me.
- Never skip evening workouts
- Q: Hey everyoneI bought a 160 year old farm house with the true cut 2x4 studsThis winter we got destroyed with heating billsWe have insulated the crawl space in the basement with R-30 and put up a 6mil sheathing over it but still got really coldWe are also losing heat in the atticMy question is once we get into the walls (drywall over plaster) and take out the blown in crap could we use a Gap Filler along the seams of the exterior sheathing and the studs then put in a high R rating insulation? There is only 2-3 inches of space in the wallsAny help would be really appreciatedWould love to have a warm home next winter! PS im a DYI person.

- Q: The yarn that I would like to dye is a merino blend and it is currently a very light color.
- Yes, you can, so long as it's animal fibre(Also, superwash wool can have iffy results with koolaid.suggest dip dyeing if it's a superwash)You generally get normal overdying results.ie blended colors or darker colorsI would do a test piece to check my color before dyeing the whole lot.
- Q: I mean I know that plums may help as natural laxatives, but are there any other fruit or veggies that would really help?
- Get some double fiber bread and make toast, lots of fiber and really a lot of options of what to put on italso there are extra fiber oatmeals now and Fiber cereal which you could put soy milk in.
- Q: Very random question yes I knowWhat material would have the best temperature insulation, like against heat(fire)? A shirt made of Kevlar, a shirt made of Carbon Kevlar, or a shirt made of Nomex Filament Yarn? Can you order them from best to worst?
- find the right diet for your individual body because there are many ways are there to lose weight just find what works for you
- Q: I got him about an hour ago and he ate yesterday at the pet store (Friday)When should I try and feed him again? His head also looks dry, but he was shedding yesterday, is it due to the shedding? And the tank temperature is around 80, I have the heating pad under the tank and a nocturnal lamp, but the temp doesn't seem to increaseIs 80 an ok temp?I would REALLY appreciate help!!!Thanks]
- If the bottles are of equal volume, there will not be enough heat energy in the room temperature bottle to melt all the ice in the frozen bottleThe aluminum wrap should help transfer heat to the frozen bottle and 30 minutes may be enough time to chill the room temperature bottle to 32FThe insulation (polyethylene and Styrofoam help isolate the problem)Compare the calories required to cool a pound of water with the calories required to melt a pound of ice (latent heat of fusion) or use metric units.
- Q: In the north Dallas area, I set the temperature in the morning to warm up from 72 to 75; after 9:30 am, from 75 to 76 (I work from home most of the time, and this is the highest tolerable temperature for me), cools down to 75 by about 9:15 pm, and then cools back down to 72 by 12:45 am (late enough for my wife not to feel it, but barely tolerable for me since I need to sleep by 12:45 am and I CANNOT sleep at 73 degrees)I think I'm being more than reasonable.
- i don't know about on your key chain but a taser might be what you wantor you might want some pepper spray or maceone of those should bring down most people that would mess with you.
- Q: I think I've asked before but I'd like some additional recommendationsI have a 16X70 mobile home that is not well insulated and with winter approaching fast, I'd like to see what I can do now to help keep us warmer without breaking our walletsThis mobile home has sheetrock with some cheap yellow insulation then the metal exterior and that's itSomething I've thought about but I'm not sure if it would work is to take off the interior walls and remove the insulationWhat I've thought is I could cut pieces of that sturdy foam used in homes, and put between the studsMaybe use some kind of tape around the perimeter of the foam, then install new insulation of a better brand then replace the sheetrockWe keep the thermostat set on like 66 degrees and the bill is still sky highWould my plan work? or do you have any better suggestions for better insulating mobile homes? I do have underpinning but it's just the plastic/rubber kind (not concrete blocks).

- Q: I am hypoglycemic but i love sweetsWhat could i put as a substitute in my baked goods that still tastes good but wont make my sugar level go downOr what sweets can i have that wont affect me(for those of you who dont know what hypoglycemia is its low blood sugar.)
- -Table sugar, corn syrup, and honey are simple carbohydratesSimple carbohydrates also occur naturally in fruits, milk, and other foodsThey are digested rapidly, and this allows glucose to be absorbed into the bloodstream quicklyTherefore, meals that are high in simple carbohydrates can contribute to reactive hypoglycemiaConcentrated sweets such as candy, table sugar, soft drinks, cookies, cakes, and ice cream are mainly simple carbohydratesAvoid these foods unless they are made with sugar substitutes-Pasta, grains, and potatoes are complex carbohydratesFoods from animal sources contain protein, but so do legumes, nuts and seedsPeople with hypoglycemia should eat complex carbohydrates and protein for their energy needs, instead of simple carbohydrates-Choose high fiber foodsFiber is the indigestible part of plantsInsoluble fiber, such as wheat bran, does not dissolve in water.Soluble fiber delays stomach emptying, digestion, and absorption of glucose-Fats like those in whole milk, cheese, and meats should be limitedA low-fat diet has been shown to help in treating hypoglycemiaWhen selecting dairy products and meats for protein; choose lean meat, skim milk products, and eggs in moderationUse oils sparingly-Sweeteners such as sorbitol, saccharin, and aspartame do not contain sugar or calories and may be used in a hypoglycemia diet-Alcohol is high in calories and can cause hypoglycemia all by itself-Caffeine should be avoided-Body Weight: Excess weight has been shown to interfere with the body functions that regulate glucose.
