Q: Can solar panels be installed on a barn or shed?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a barn or shed. In fact, barns and sheds are often ideal locations for solar panel installations due to their large, open rooftops that receive ample sunlight. Installing solar panels on a barn or shed can help generate clean and renewable energy while utilizing otherwise unused space.
Q: A solar panel facing the sun at noon in mid-summer receives more intensity of the light than when it is at horizontal. However, it can receives more total solar energy when it is at horizontal than when it is tilted during a long summer day. Regradless if it is shaded by building or trees. why is that so?
i think it means that it will receive more (total for the whole day) when it is tilted to the most perpendicular to the sun. if you are on the northern /southern hemisphere, when the sun is not really directly above you. provided it doesnt automatically adjust
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a pergola or shade structure?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a pergola or shade structure. In fact, installing solar panels on a pergola or shade structure can provide both shade and renewable energy generation, making it a practical and efficient solution for maximizing space and reducing energy costs.
Q: was looking at a few different sites, here is one of them
I had a system installed recently, so I would suggest starting by getting a quote from a licensed contractor. Even if you are planning on doing the installation yourself, a contractor will have a lot of useful info. I got 3 quotes and they were all about the same cost. I was able to get a 2 year usage history from our utility so the contractors were able to suggest a system based on that. They were able to tell me about rebates and tax credits, were the best location would be and the estimated amount of production. They have a nifty gadget that can tell if there will be any shade cast on the roof at any time during the year. I decided to maximize my rebates and got a system that reduced my utility bill by about 50%, although my production has cut it much more than that, my highest electric bill was $35, and that was in Dec. with cloudy short days. I got a $0K rebate and a $2K tax credit. This year the fed. tax credit is 30% of the total installed price. My system cost $26K, I paid $6K out of pocket and I'm saving about $2K per year.
Q: in the afternoon sun heat increases to high level due to which the panels heats up very high now my question is this heat will effect the panels life time and will damage the panels or not ??
Some are better than others. It depends on the manufacturing technique. All will degrade over time, some over decades, others over months (if they're defective).
Q: how the power output of solar panels fitted to a house can chargenothing on the internet really answers this question, any information will really help..this is for GCSE, i don't really understand the meaning of the question. does it ask how the solar panel egts charged, and how it works? i don't get how you can charge a solar panel and is heat the only way you can produce electricity for it??please answer if you know! much appreciated!!! thank you so so so so so so so much, in advance =)
Solar panels do NOT get charged, so the question is junk, or you misstated it. Solar panels are used to charge a battery bank, which stores energy for times when there is no sun. Then energy from the batteries is used, via an inverter, to power appliances in the house. OR do you mean how the power output of solar panels can CHANGE? In that case, they change when the sun moves, such as behind a cloud, or just changes angle in the sky, or goes out.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on outdoor event venues?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on outdoor event venues. In fact, they are often a great choice for such venues as they can provide renewable energy to power various event equipment, lighting, and sound systems. Additionally, solar panels can help reduce the environmental impact of hosting events by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and decreasing carbon emissions.
Q: What are the supplies needed in a solar panel field, i know there are the panels. But what about batteries, and converters. Possibly other things, and how many will i need, for a certain amount of panels?
Short answer.. alot. A solar field is a big undertaking, and you'd be better off going with a solar consultant. I found this site and would recommend their services as they offer consulting, and are pretty big into solar (or atleast in my area..)
Q: Properties of solar panel?I know this is too general, but i am to write a report on the materials used to make solar panels, and i am to include the physical, mechanical ,and chemical properties of the materials. It's just too general, such that i am lost. There are so many types of solar panels. So i hope some experts on this subject can give me a general guide lines ,maybe the tensile strength ?as much as you can please.
Solar power Power Can Help Preserve You Money The cost of power is going up, and will only keep going up. Reaction Solar power Power Systems will help you save a large number of kWh each season by utilizing screen technology. Power created by your program are kilowatts you don't need to pay for! Every electricity program will make a number of Small-scale Technology Accreditations (STCs) upon purchase based on the size of the program and the location where it will be set up. These STCs have a market value and can be exchanged and marketed just like stocks. Power created by your solar PV program can be marketed to the lines for a top quality cost via Feed-in charges. These feed-in charges are different in every state, but the primary idea is te same, to compensate entrepreneurs of small-scale power creation. You are eligible to sell some or all of the ability you produce for more than you would normally pay for it. Would you like to decrease costs with solar power? Contact Reaction and get it done these days. Solar Power Can Help Preserve The Environment click to enlarge Producing usable direct sunlight generates no dangerous pollutants. Every season coal-fired power vegetation belch a large number of loads of as well as contamination into the weather so we can run our refigerators, toaster ovens, and have hot bathrooms. Taking your power form your own ceiling means you are no longer leading to that contamination. In fact, power companies will be paying you for electricity! Help Sydney accomplish its 5% green energy focus on by 2020 and international objectives of 20%, by changing to solar power and decreasing your own effect on international warming. Compared with other small-scale turbines, solar power is completely quiet. Turn the team radiation into power without making a audio and decrease environmental disturbance.
Q: I want to replace my electricity with solar and wind. I live just right outside the city, the roof about 000 square feet. How many windmills/solar panels would it take to get me off the power grid?
I live in the Southwest where the sun shines almost every day. I got a quote for Solar system to produce about enough to cover my annual usage. My annual average electrical usage costs about $2300, or about $90/MO. The system costs around $30,000 but I can get rebates and some of your tax dollars in subsidies to bring my cost down to under $20,000. I can borrow $20,000 for 3 years at 7% and pay $95/MO, so in 3 years I will have the system paid for. As you can see, I don't start Saving any money for a long time. Maybe the rates will go up in later years which will help, but My friends that have solar systems tell me things like controllers go bad over time and they cost like $3000. Will it ever pay for itself? Maybe. Please note. This still does not get me off the grid. This system will not support things like an electric stove, air conditioning, Pool pump running, etc. so I still need the grid for when these operate and my usage peaks. If I installed a system that would totally support everything 24/7 the cost would be astronomical. If you live in the east, midwest, or NW where you have cloudy days, your economic calculations will be much less favorable I would think, unless your power costs are much higher than mine..
