Q: Garage door lock stuck in locked position?: This idea seems to have several flaws. First, nobody can be in the air tight room for more then the time it takes to use up the oxygen in the room. Second, the change in air pressure would be pretty small, so you'd either get lots of false trips or it wouldn't trip when you wanted it to. It would be better to use a sensor that used heat rise. Third, what would a person do if they were in the room when a fire broke out? They would die from the lack of oxygen (faster then in the first case). And finally, since this room is of limited space, it will burn off the oxygen in the room during the fire and snuff itself out even if you don't evacuate the remaining air in the room. And if you haven't done anything but take the oxygen out of the room, the fire would likely restart when you vent air back into the room.

Q: Does anyone have an actual safety answer or a BS answer customers would believe?: I believe so where the hoses connect to the torch. I am not 100% but I thought I remember seeing Teflon tape on the fittings. Call up a local welding shop and they would let you know. or visit the website of the torch and maybe they have assembly instructions.

Q: These are the laser safety goggles I'm thinking of wearing: Tools: Basin wrench, spanners, small to medium pipe wrenches, strap wrench, plumber's putty, teflon tape, hacksaw, tape measure. Supplies: Pipe nipples, new shutoff valves, hookup pipes, faucet, new drain pipes. You can measure everything up, take a digital picture if you like and go down to the home center. They will fix you up with what you need and give you advice as to how to actually do it.

Q: I wonder if somebody could tell me how CO2 working as a fire extinguisher, regarding that it is full of oxygen?Or, is it possible that there are is some type of substance that is not possible to extinct with CO2.Is it possible that CO2 make an opposite reaction and enlarge fire?: Pipe dope (joint compound) does not normally dry out. After it is applied it remains soft and pliable, although with time it will form a crusted surface. The pipe dope is used to form a better seal between the threads of the pipe and the fittings. As the pipe and the fittings change temperatures, the materials will expand and contract. If the pipe dope dried out it would crack and begin to leak over time. By remaining pliable it maintains the seal and prevents leakage.

What a topical question - I say this as I spent 3 hours at the weekend desperately trying to seek out the nice warm GLOVES that I had last winter to spare my fingers from frostbite in the negative degree temperatures that we had sucumbed to, lol. I think that gloves would be warmer as they wrap each individual finger in fluffy warmth!! Q: I need to wake up early in the morning? Do laptops have an alarm option?: Exhaust piping is commonly made up of carbon steel . You can get carbon steel exhaust piping with and aluminzied coating which tends to protect it from corroding to soon. The next level is 304 stainless which has even better corrosion resistance due to the lower carbon content. On the high end is 314 and 316 stainless. To check the property of the metal stick a magnet on it . If it is carbon steel or aluminized steel the magnet will stick to it. If it is 304 , 314, 316 the magnet won't stick. Dont use a oxy/act system if you are not experienced with it . You will end up torching your car. Use a sawzall / reciprecating saw aloneg with safety goggles for the eyes. Once you figured out your design take the pipe to a muufles shop and have them expand the ends . They will charge you around $20 . Long term savngs compared to the oxy/act system . Its old skool. Plasma cutters are the in thing now

Q: How come lightning doesn't strike twice?: Another best manufacturing of galbanizzed pipe fittings are located in India.

Q: what are the best fire extinguishers for the home?: take some of his clothes that he doesn't wear that much anymore and go to your local hardware store or wal-mart and buy some silver shiny spray paint and spray his clothes with it. Or you could also tie-dye some of his clothes as well with some bright colors.
