- Q:I need to take 3 pictures for my photo class, and he wants us to take one picture in the defined catigories below: a) Direct Light b) Indirect Light c) Combination of both. Can some one please give me an example of combination one (c)? e.g. Direct Light is like taking pictures in the sun. Indirect light like taking pictures in a cloudy day or something. But what about combination? please.
- Direct light would be like the sunshine, a camera's flash, photographic lights, or a bare light bulb. Indirect would be any direct lighting that is bounced off a surface, or shines through a surface, to be diffused. Daylight on an overcast day, a light bulb diffused through a shade, flash bounced off a surface, photo lights shining through or bounced off umbrellas, light in a light tent, etc. For a combination, use both. You could have a light shining on someone, and some of that light bounced back from another direction, for instance.
- Q:at the store they have a light like a sun a heat light and a moon light i wanna get them all but like would i use the heat light as a basking light or a regular light or i shouldnt get a heat light and use the sun light as a basking light, also i can use the moon light for at night right, one more thing when u go to bed do you turn off the basking light???
- I used a moon light(the blue light bulb) at night so the turtle will still stay warm but not deal with the annoying light when it sleeps. During the day I put a fluorescent light bulb in one of those metal shield type things with the clip. I just clipped it on to its cage! - Normally the modeling light is attached very near to the strobe tube. The reason for the light is to provide a continuous light source so the photographer can see if there are any unwanted reflections in eye glasses or window glass. I would guess there is some way to mount the modeling light to the strobe head. You need to place the modeling light in a manner that mimics the direction of light the strobe will create.

- Our eyes detect light by using light sensitive components called rods and cones. Cones are used when the light is intense, such as during the daytime. With cones, we can see different colors of light. Rods are used when the light is very dim. Rods cannot detect colors. That is why things appear as shades of grey at night.

- dear sister, in my studies along the way... i found in the Psychological Commentaries on the Teachings of Gurdjieff by Maurice Nicoll that light represents consciousness. that thought has stuck with me... so i would say that the true nature of a Light-Bringer or Bearer is a Conscious Being and that their Light is truly a Gift of God. one might extrapolate the idea that if we abuse the Gift... we can lose the Light... for example faint or lose consciousness. Christ is our highest example of a Light-Bearer and Ephesians 3:19-20 is worth 'reflecting upon'... as well as all the teachings of our Lord.
