Performance of Artistic Glass Block-05:

1. Environmental Friendliness
Belonging to sodalime silicate glass system, glass tile, a transparent material, is made by melting silicate inorganic mineral substance materials such as quartz sand, soda ash (Na2CO3) and limestone at high temperature, being a veritable eco-friendly product.

2. Heat-shielding Performance
Due to the diffuse scattering of hollow glass tile and internal negative pressure cavity, a room can get enough light rays and the interior temperature does not rise under strong solar radiation in summer. In winter, the difference between indoor temperature and outdoor temperature can reach 40 DEG C and the air humidity is not influenced because of low thermal coefficient and great loss of blocked heat in the negative pressure cavity. If the glass tile is applied to a building, the room gets cool in summer and is away from torridness, and warms the room, does not cause dryness and saves energy in winter.

3. Sound Insulation Performance
Thanks to sealing negative gas in the hollow glass tile, the tile has high sound insulation property.

4. Light-transmitting and Non-perspective Performance
The light-transmission coefficient of white hollow glass tile is 75%-85%, which is similar to that of the general double-layered hollow glass. There are various decorative patterns on the surface of the glass tile, so the tile is non-perspective, indoor imperceptibility is realized, light rays are scattered around the room, discomfort caused by direct solar radiation is solved and the indoor luminous environment is improved.

5. Fireproof Performance
The fireproof level of hollow glass tile is GB class A. According to Japanese law, it is recognized that single-layer wall has the same performance as the second kind fire door and double-layer wall has one-hour fireproof performance.

6. High Compression Resistance and Shock Resistance
The hollow glass tile has high compression resistance and shock resistance, so that the dead weight of the hollow glass tile can be ignored even in design and construction of very high glass tile wall.

7. Atomization Resistance
The hollow glass tile has outstanding performance in resisting pulverization. For example, the surface of the glass tile does not atomize or form dew when the indoor temperature is 20°C, the humidity is 60% and the outdoor temperature is 2°C below zero, so that the erosion of atomized vapor to the frame is prevented.

Application Range of Artistic Glass Block-05:

The hollow glass tile has noble, elegant and magnificent decorative effects. It is widely in banks, offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, airports, stations, landscapes, video walls, civil buildings, indoor partitions, stages, sanatoria, gymnasia, playgrounds, apartments, private cruise ships and so on which require beatifying, being a popular novel decorative Artistic Glass Block-05

Q: I thought that bathroom floor tiles were thicker than the bathroom wall tiles, is this right?
In some cases, the real difference is: floor tiles are stronger. You don't have to walk on walls, you walk on the floor, they are usually much stronger.
Q: My bathroom size is 7 ‘*11 ‘. If I want to use 20*20 tiles, will it look good? I want to use bigger tiles because I don‘t like grouts. Can we put anything to make the tile not so slippy?
12x12 or 12x18 or 20x20 all these sizes look good.
Q: the kitchen is pretty spacious, but is it possible to put tiles on top of wood?
I had the same cocern when I was remodeling my kitchen. I had a linoleum floor and wanted to change to tiles. I ripped out my old linoleum floor only because I wanted to keep the increase of the new flooring to a min. Everybody I taked to suggested to use backerboard over your sub floor if you want your new floor to last. Use 1/4 if you subfloor is relativley stable, 1/2 backerboard if not. But remember the difference in height of your new floor with the thickness of the backer board and tiles.
Q: it is literally burning hot have no idaea wat the problem is plzz help:). porcelain tile btw
Well, I'm assuming it's the floor tiles, not the wall tiles. And that there's no radiant heating system under the floor. The first thing you should check is if you have a broken hot water pipe under the slab. To do this, shut off all the water in the house and check your meter. Some have a small triangle shaped dial that turns as you use water. If it's turning, you have a fairly major problem and should address it promptly. If you don't have such a dial on your meter, record the numbers on the meter before you go to bed at night after using all the water for the day. Then in the morning, BEFORE using any water, record the numbers again. They should match exactly. If not, you have a leak and chances are, it's from the hot water line running under the slab in the bathroom. You can shut the hot water valve by the heater for a few hours and check if the warmth has cooled down. This will assure you that that is what the problem is.
Q: I have gauges and scraps on my ceramic tile, i want to fix and even out the existing tile, then glaze it?
If these tiles are already installed I think you are out of luck for any long term fix. Ceramic tile glaze is fired onto the tiles in a kiln at very high heat. The firing makes the glaze and tile bond in a way that fillers, puttys, or paint cannot achieve. If your tile is that worn, it is possible that you have the wrong grade of tile for the situation where it is being worn so much. You may have earned yourself a new tile shower, floor, countertop, whatever....
Q: I‘m installing a kitchen back splash of 1 x 1 glass tile. Right now there is drywall where the tile will be. I‘ve read that it is better to use cement backing board as a substrate. Is this really necessary or can I just use thin-set to mount the tile directly to the drywall and then grout as usual? Thanks for your help!
Drywall is a suitable substrate for the glass tile. You want to make sure that the drywall is clean, wipe it down with mineral spirits. Next you will want to mark a level line. 1 glass tiles are fairly heavy when mounted on a 12 mesh sheet, and will tend to sag. This level line will be the top mark of your lower sheet. After you have your line either drawn or chalked, you will want to use a glass tile specific mortar, such as Mapei Adesilex P10. This is a non sagging mortar with a bright white color to allow the glass color to pop. Be sure to follow the mixing instruction to get the best performance, and only mix as much as you can use in a short period of time. Glass tiles are great for backsplashes because of the ease of maintenance, so make sure to use a grout that give you the same performance. Mapei has Opticolor grouts which are stain-free, but offer the same installation as regular grout. Last bit of advice is to be patient, work at your own pace, and step back every other sheet to make sure it looks good as you go.
Q: I would like to glue it to the tile that is already there, except remove a few that are coming loose.
yes,but----------------don't you hate that line? the linoleum will only be as solid as the tiles under it. as they come loose in the future your linoleum will end up with loose spots that can bubble up, catch and tear if you slide things across
Q: What is the best way to paint over brown wall tiles
Wash your tiles first - then use BIN primer (it will adhere to your tiles). Then paint with the paint of your choice. BIN is a primer.
Q: Please don't say wood/tile please say wood/tile is cheaper so I know exactly what you mean, lol. Does it depend on what kind of wood? I assume it does..For just the first floor, 1,040 sq. ft. THANKS!
Laminate can be cheaper but wont last as long. If you shop around ceramic tile is better in the long run. If you are a diy'er it can be cheaper than laminate.Laminate transitions are very expensive, usually two thirds of the cost of the project when transitioning from laminate to carpet or tile.
Q: standard terracotta tiles
I'm not certain what the dimensions of a 'standard terracotta' tile that you mention are but... we have a Spanish style roof, utilizing what is called Spanish Mission Tile, in which the tiles are semicircular in cross section and about 6 inches wide, by about 20 inches long. It is the type of tile that requires one column of tile INVERTED with the concave face upward, and the next column [on both sides] with the concave side down covering the edges of the adjacent up-curved tiles. The Mission tiles are NOT the kind in which one tile provides both the under' and over'' portion in a single tile. Our Mission tiles weigh 5 pounds each and we have 3,500 on our roof which totals out to roughly 17,500 pounds on a house of about 2,000 sqft. We [My father, Mother, myself (12 yoa), and my brother (8 yoa)] installed this roof ourselves back in 1954 and although it wasn't complicated, it was a whole lot of hard work. It took us almost an entire summer to do it. You may be able to get more info from the manufacturer from who we buy replacement tiles. It is the D'hannis [Sp?] tile company located at Hondo, Texas, which is west of San Antonio.
Our main products are household glass, cement, float glass, hollow glass brick, tempered glass, insulating glass, laminated glass, silk screen glass, glass mirror, window of model steel door, carbon fiber cloth, etc., Our float glass exports more than 20 countries and regions; China crystal glass brick production volume in the world's first, accounting for 70% of the domestic market.Daily-use glass production and sales in the country, the main varieties have roast flowers, frosting, and high white, white, green, brown, etc.
