Thanks!: The problem with your proposal is that you realise that the wind/rain could have an effect but chose to ignore the consequences if it occurs. 'Proper' scaffolding is designed and such an unsupported span would never occur in a 'normal' scaffold so the standard calculations would not work. There is also the possible effect on the walls, could they take an abnormal load? I would look at theatrical or music stage hire using trussed beams.

Q: I really wanna get my scaffold done but I've watched video's of it being done on youtube and I'm absolutely terrified now...a lot of the people getting it done screamed :/ .. please can anyone tell me how painful is it to get done? and afterwards? and also is it always done with a needle??Thanks in advance: Mine really hurt, but I didn't scream. For the first few days I couldn't sleep on it, I noticed bubbles forming around the ends but, that's normal with piercings with cartilage. Make sure you go somewhere who uses the tube for the needle. When I went, since my ears were small, he used two different needles it lasted too long. But it wasn't worse than my tragus so, I was able to accept the pain.

You may be having a reaction to the jewelry. Doctors are not very knowledgeable about piercings. In fact, most that I've met are quite biased against them. Swelling with a scaffold piercing is normal. Sometimes it takes a few days to take effect. Go to your piercer and let them take a look at it first. If you're wearing surgical steel you may need titanium. Also make sure you're only using sea salt soaks twice a day to keep it clean. No antiseptic cleaners, witch hazel, alcohol, peroxide, antibiotic ointment, most soaps, etc.

Q: Okay well it's been 4 weeks now and I think that the front part is infected I'm not sure. But just next to the piercing there's a bump in my ear and puss comes out, but it's not that much.
