- Q: I read in a magazine that blue light (from skiing;blue goggles) can cause macular degeneration. I'mn worried about this because I usually sleep under blue light from a light bulb. Is this hazardous to my eyes? Is red light safer? Does (sleeping under) red light cause damage to your eyes?
- Blacklights can cause eye damage because they emit ultraviolet light. Only if the LEDs emit a lot of ultraviolet light will they cause any trouble, and then you would have to be exposed to them for quite a long time. While it's not a good idea to overdo anything, (so... don't overdo it!) I wouldn't be concerned about eye damage from a string of holiday lights.
- Q: Alright, so earlier this year I bought a set of photography lighting right.. And they are great. But you know how photography lights light kinda white-ish and normal lights (in my opinion) light orangey-ish???? Please tell me you get what I mean.. Because I have these lights I bought at Walmart but they don't light white.. They light orange. Why is that?? Is it the watts? The brightness? Please help
- You can get just about any shade you want out of lights... either by changing bulbs or adding filters (called gels) to the light. walmart is not a real photo store... you probably have incandescent bulbs in the wally world set. If you put the same bulbs in all your lights, you won't have this problem. Mixed light sources (such as florescent mixed with incandescent) are the worst way to do things, and the hardest to fix. By using the same bulbs in all your lights, you can set your camera white balance and forget it.
- Q: uses of polarisation, how is polarised light produced
- 1.Polarization studies are made to investigate the transverse nature of light. 2. Polarization studies had suggested that saturn rings consists of ice crystals..So it can be used in astronomy. 3. size and shapes of certain viruses can b determined by the polarization of UV light scattered fro them.. 4. Information abt the structure of atoms and nucleus is obtained from Polarization studies of their emitted radiations in all parts of EM spectrum. 5. The liquid crystals which are used for the LCD on watches and calculators use polarized light to form letters and numbers. Polarized light is produced by passing light through a polarizer(eg:tourmaline crystal),Scattering of light or By reflection...
- Q: I have: flashing lights, baby when the light, the light, flashing red light means go
- red light- david nail
- Q: what are the advantages of using special photography lights with strobes which sync with flash (like 23) for shooting over using simple video lights like baby and multi for shooting stills? I want to shoot portraits and renting out video lights is cheaper than photography lights.
- I assume you mean continuous lights for video lights? Photographers do use them at times for studio/product work. Flash (or strobes) are generally preferred though as they can be portable (allows for location work) and more importantly, you can then choose to blend flash ambient (shutter speed controls how much ambient light you have in the picture) - shooting at or near max sync speed (1/200 or thereabouts) allows you to reduce the ambient or kill it completely. Small flashes (speedlights) can also shoot above the max sync speed (the flash 'pulses' as the shutter curtain travels across the sensor) - but you do need flashes that are branded to your camera to make this work, and the flash output (power) is considerably reduced, so the lights need to be fairly close the the subject.
- Q: pick oneA) red light travels faster than blue light in glassB) Blue light travels faster than red light in glassC) Red light travels faster than blue light in airD) blue light travels faster than red light in air.
- A) red light travels faster than blue light in glass The speeds through air, are so insignificantly distinct from the speeds through empty space. And the speeds through empty space are guaranteed to be identical for all frequencies. That means, it is the more optically dense material that is responsible for the frequency dispersive effects. It is very rare that you could have dispersion due to the less optically dense material's refractive index differences across the spectrum. Consider water and glass, for example. Water's refractive index, is about 1.331 (red) to 1.345 (violet). In general, glass's refractive index is about 1.5. Glass is the more optically dense than water. And you will find that even the most color-neutral glass variants that a glazier can make, differ in refractive index MORE among the colors, than water. Crown glass, is a common color neutral glass. Even so, its refractive indices range from 1.515 (red) to 1.533 (violet). This means that the water-to-glass refractive indices are 1.138 (red) to 1.139 (violet). Any effect that the water had, on reducing relative refractive index, all it did was neutralize the effect for the crown glass. If there was any dispersion due to the water rather than due to the glass, we would see red light bending more than violet light. This is why it was such a challenge, to get the first achromatic telescopes, that wouldn't disperse by color. Any lens-based telescope, would inevitably blur the colors of the subject. Until Newton came up with the idea, to FORGET using lenses as the active component, and to use mirrors instead.
- Q: what are stale green light, point of no return, fresh green light? and what do they do/gt;? what is tail light? clutch? since im not a native speaker, please explain it to me using easy words thank yoiu
- a stale green light is a green light that has been sitting there for a long time. a fresh green light is a green light that has JUST turned green moments ago from being a red light the point of no return, is when it's a yellow light and you go halfway; you can't turn back -- just go through it tail lights are the lights on the back of your car a clutch is the third pedal on the left side in a car with a manual transmission
- Q: who's better L or Light?
- I okorder /
- Q: Ok, so a couple weeks ago, I bought this awesome lighter for like a dollar. Now its out of fluid :( I know it seems stupid, but I reallly like this lighter! lol but I bought the lighter fluid at WalMart and I put it in the lighter, but it doesnt work. Also, it didnt work in any other lighters. I did it the way I was told, by moving the little arm on the bottum of the lighter, and putting the little tip in there and filling it. But I dont get a flame from any of the lighters. Am I doing something wrong?
- buy a new 1 dollar lighter
- Q: Garden lights inside the light source and electrical appliances are what
- But I suggest you consider those who specialize in the production of xenon lamp xenon lamp
