- I wouldn't Plastic is made of hydrocarbons, and alcohol is a hydrocarbon - under the chemical principle of like dissolves like I would think the alcohol could leach chemicals in the plastic or dissolve it. If you leach extra chemicals it ruins yer shine!

- sorry to hear this, but if you go to Microcenter, staples, radio shack, or maybe even wal-mart, they sell a plastic tube that is very tough, flexible, and has ridges... if you put that on the oxygen tube, the cat will not be able to chew through it... one of my relatives has a bird that chews through any wires that it can find and since we put this on the nearby wires, the bird has not chewed through any wires... you can also get a spray that repels cats at pet stores, I use this on my Christmas tree because my cat loves climbing on it...
