Product Overview
The comprehensive technical performance and economic indicator of PP-R are much better than galvanized pipe, UPVC pipe, polyethylene-aluminum compound pipe, PE-X (cross-linked polyethylene) and polybutylene pipe etc. For this reason PP-R is the leading products and widely used for feed-water piping in developed countries in Europe and America.
Nowadays PPR pipes win more attention and have been used all over the whole world more widely with its excellent sanitization performance, high heat resistance, compression resistance, corrosion resistance, pliability and seismic performance which make PP-R the real environmental friendly pipe.

- Q: I need some plastic tubes to put bath salts in. Does anyone know where I can find them. I need these by Saturday.
- Craft stores, dollar stores
- Q: I've usually see em in the movies and stuff like that. Little long tubes like hand held flares which upon breaking or twisting emits faint green light sort of like the radium stickers and stuff like that and are these available in military surplus stores?
- Here in NZ I think they're called cyanolume sticks. They're widely available in shops and they're useful in civil emergency kits, along with candles and a torch. They're useful as a replacement for a torch where there's flammable vapour and you don't want sparks. They get their name from the colour of the light they emit; cyan, or blue-green.
- Q: Plastic tubing is touching compressor (or close to it) and gets hot and brittle. I recoupled a bad spot 1 year ago and it is leaking again. I would like to replace the tubing from the back of the refrig (solenoid) to the water filter. Any ideas on what material to use? I would like to use copper line thru the bottom of the refrig if not all the way to the water filter, but don't know how to connect it to the solenoid. Also would pex (1/4 OD) line be a better (albeit more expensive) choice for this?
- You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.
- Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of gas permeability?
- Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of gas permeability. While some types of plastic tubes are designed to be gas impermeable, many common plastics used for tubes, such as polyethylene or PVC, can allow certain gases to permeate through them over time. The rate of gas permeability varies depending on the type of plastic and the specific gas involved. Therefore, it is important to consider the intended use and the type of gas being transported when choosing plastic tubes.
- Q: What are the different wall thickness options for plastic tubes?
- The wall thickness options for plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific requirements and applications. Generally, plastic tubes can have a range of wall thicknesses, starting from thin-walled tubes with thicknesses as low as 0.5mm (0.02 inches) to thicker-walled tubes with thicknesses exceeding 10mm (0.4 inches). The choice of wall thickness depends on factors such as the intended use, structural integrity, pressure resistance, and cost considerations.
- Q: What is the maximum temperature that plastic tubes can withstand?
- The maximum temperature that plastic tubes can withstand varies depending on the type of plastic used. However, most common plastics have a maximum temperature range of around 150 to 200 degrees Celsius (302 to 392 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for fluid transfer?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for fluid transfer. Plastic tubes are commonly used in various industries and applications for transferring fluids such as liquids and gases. They offer advantages such as flexibility, chemical resistance, and cost-effectiveness, making them suitable for a wide range of fluid transfer needs.
- Q: I need it for a science experiment. It has to be thin and bendy/flexible, and not that long.Don't get confused with PVC piping, that's like 10 feet long, what I need is basically the same length as a straw, except it has to be bendy all the way.Regular straws don't work because I need to bend it 3 times, and still have the air flow through, but when i bend it, it's really tight and doesn't work.I need something like those plastic straws on juice bottles that can bend where the drinking part is, except something like that all the way through. If anybody could tell me where to get it (I only need one but will buy it in packages if the price is not too large) , or link me the website of the product, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
