- Q: I have a large sheet of plastic, or I think its plastic. Its about 1/8 inch thick, knubby on one side, smooth on the other and slightly pliable. I'd like to cut equal size panels to fit into my window shutters. I tried using a glass cutter and T square but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

- Since you have gas to the home, a small gas space heater or small wall gas furnace would really be the best solution. Gas costs about half the price of electricity for heating. So pay back time would not be long, maybe a single season. But I realize with the loss of one income money is tight. Heating with the stove is a very bad idea. A stove is not vented. Even with cooking with a stove you should run the fan and have a window open, as advised. I have seen stoves set off carbon monoxide detectors from cooking a stew or pot of beans for a long time on low with no outside air or fans running. In my motor home we have a propane gas catalytic heater that was cheap and didn't need a vent. But I am not secure how safe that really is. But you might be able to find a small gas heater that will work for you. Good Luck.

- Good question....hard to say as the listed supported media specifications did not list it as a compatible media type, but neither did it list it as a media type you cannot use according to the manual. So with that said, I think that you can use overhead transparencies as long as you get ones that are designed and made for inkjet printers. Best of luck.

- But of course... First start with a little imagination ie. a flower vase. Next use a dremmel (sp.) to drill a hole a little lower than half way down. Next you will want to use a small hose of some sort to plug the hole. At the top of the vase you can easily just use foil and put the bowl on top and poke it thru the foil. Add water and smoke.

I've looked for simple red see through folders that could do the same thing, but I can't find any in Hiroshima:(
