- If you can add a balancing connector, that would be perfect. You would basically be able to charge each cell individually. (Note that all Li-Ion / Li-Po battery packs have this). I'm not familiar with this battery chemistry, but i suspect it charges in a similar manner to Li-Ion. Apply a constant current to the battery pack, while not allowing any cell to exceed 4.2V, until whole pack has 54.6V. Then apply a constant voltage of 4.2V to each cell until current decreases to your preset value. (you can adjust this . lower level higher capacity, higher level longer service life). Be careful as Lithium batteries can explode when overcharged.

- Obviously the new battery pack was connected to your transmitter terminals with wires of some length. These wires possibly act as antennas of certain wavelength, interfering with the transmitter's signal and existing internal/external antenna, which is perceived by you as hissing. Furthermore you did not achieve any signal amplification because 2 AA batteries give the same voltage as 2 AAA batteries but probably for a longer time. In conclusion if you want better signal go to a better transmitter.

I took out the old Li ion batteries (which were 2600mah each) and replaced them with the same kind of battery (18650) except the new ones had 4000mah each. - your conclusion that the fault was with the original 2600mah batteries might be incorrect. I know it is quite likely but if it is incorrect, that would explain why batteries you believe are perfectly good are not retaining a charge. The supporting circuitry or perhaps even the motherboard bios could be the problem. The big question is: Are other owners of this model having the same problem? Search on the internet by typing gx630 batteries don't hold charge or something like that. Li Ion batteries sometimes need to be cycled several times to extend their charge time: charge all the way up, run down completely, 3, 4 times. Observe the results carefully to detect any change.,

- The load that the tester applies on the battery is very small(a few micro-Amps) so even if the battery is dead for the device that operates with it,it will be ok for the tester. When a rechargeable battery is fully charged its voltage is 10% higher then the nominal voltage(only for rechargeable batteries). If you want to test the battery use a small load on it(a 12V/2W) bulb light and with this load on test it with the voltmeter! good luck!
